Triumph Daytona 675

The Triumph Daytona 675, on the other hand, is another impressive mid-weight bike best for aggressive riding and cruising. Its four-stroke engine is always ready to serve the rider no matter what the weather condition is.

Track Test

Before the track test we think that Suzuki GSX-R750 will leave the Triumph behind and within few minutes everything was clear to us, Suzuki left the Triumph behind and proved to be superior in terms of performance. The Suzuki provides the better power delivery and precise amount of acceleration lets the rider to have a speedy ride.

The only thing was that it is a bit heavy as compare to Triumph and it also affects its soft stock suspension system. So, before the test the two turns of rear spring has been added, three in its front and cranked in more rebound and compression damping at both of its ends. The Triumph performed well in the initial laps but it was not able to compete with Suzuki’s speed due to different reasons like hard braking transitions.

If we look at the stats than Triumph was able to deliver the maximum torque of 47.8 ft-lb at 10,000 rpm while the peak torque of Suzuki was 52.4 ft-lb at 10,720 rpm that is pretty close. But the amazing difference between them it that Suzuki makes at 45 ft-lb at 7,700 rpm while the Triumph requires to 8,200 rpm to reach 45 ft-lb.

This huge torque different creates some kind of difficulties when entering into the corners because the Triumph requires more planning and effort on corners. The Suzuki GSX-R750 can easily enter into the corner and provides an outstanding cornering experience.

Race

During a race, the Suzuki GSX-R750 was a bit faster i.e. 0.3 seconds quicker than the Daytona 675. The GSX-R750 was taking full advantage of its horsepower i.e. 121 @ 13,200 rpm vs 106 @ 12,550 rpm. Plus its performance on corners was mind-blowing.

The Triumph Daytona 675 was also remarkable but Suzuki GSX-R750 was outstanding. When it comes to pricing factor, the Triumph is cheaper than Suzuki which is its plus point. But both bikes provides remarkable performance in all conditions.
