Triumph 2021 Tiger 850 Sport Adventure Bike – Features and Price
Dedicated 850 Triple Engine Set-Up
The new Tiger 850 Sport has the same revolutionary T-plane crank as the new Tiger 900 series, but it has its own 850 tunes. The new 850 boasts greater easy-riding flexibility for commuting, touring, or simply having enthusiastic two-wheeled fun on the weekends, thanks to a more accessible and controlled distribution of useable power and torque.
The 850 triple’s T-plane triple crank and 1-3-2 firing sequence provide excellent tractability at low rpm, resulting in a better connection between the rider and the rear wheel, as well as responsive and intuitive road-riding performance. With the throttle features and feel of a twin lower down, combined with the rich and responsive torque delivery of a triple engine in the mid-range and high end, this new and unusual engine combination has an exceptionally distinctive sound.
Peak power is 85PS at 8,500 rpm, and peak torque is 82Nm at 6,500 rpm, with smooth and linear muscle and torque delivery from low engine speeds and throughout the rev range.
The slip and assist clutch complements the engine’s response by reducing lever effort and providing extra comfort on long excursions and in urban areas.
A dealer-fit A2 license compliance package with a specialized APS twist grip and engine tuning is available in Europe. Once the rider has obtained their full license, the dealer may simply reinstall full power.
High Specification Equipment
The new Tiger 850 Sport is equipped with a specialized, high-spec chassis and equipment package designed to maximize the unique Tiger 850 Sport’s overall adaptability and accessibility. The new Tiger 850 sport has been optimized for accessible road-focused adventure fun, from the category-leading Brembo Stylema brakes to the high-quality Marzocchi suspension, adjustable screen, and comprehensive electronics package, with 5″ TFT instruments, all LED lighting, two riding modes, ABS, and switchable traction control.
Brembo Style Brakes
Brembo Stylema® brakes are included on the Tiger 850 Sport for enhanced stopping power. These are high-performance calipers that are lightweight, compact, and meticulously shaped, with less volume surrounding the pistons and brake pads, minimizing the internal area occupied by brake fluid and offering a more quick braking reaction. Increased airflow around the brake pads aids in the cooling of the calipers.
High Specification Marzocchi Suspension
The Tiger 850 Sport has a high-performance suspension system with excellent Marzocchi front and rear components. To produce a dynamic but comfortable ride, 45mm Marzocchi upside-down cartridge forks with 180mm travel combined with a gas-pressurized mono-shock rear suspension unit with manually adjustable preload and 170mm rear wheel travel.
Class Leading Ergonomics
The new Tiger 850 Sport boasts a comfortable upright riding posture built for a high degree of rider confidence and control, both while stationary and on the go, thanks to its small seat, ergonomically optimized footrest position, and adjustable angle handlebars. It also has a built-in two-position seat height system that allows users to modify the seat height by 20mm to their chosen position.
The Tiger 850 Sport comes with a massive 20-liter fuel tank and an adjustable screen that provides excellent wind protection with a simple single-handed adjustment, making every trip even more comfortable.
Lightweight Modular Frame
The new Tiger 850’s combination of a lightweight frame, lightweight engine, high specification suspension, and premium Brembo brakes ensures exceptional handling in all riding scenarios, thanks to the new generation Tiger’s modular frame with bolt-on aluminum rear sub-frame and bolt-on pillion hangers.
Distinctive Tiger Style and Attitude
With a short standover width, visibly light front end, and dominating fuel tank form and size, the Tiger 850 Sport’s bodywork has a concentrated and aggressive adventure flair.
The new 850 Sport is available in two thrilling color choices: Graphite and Diablo Red or Graphite and Caspian Blue, all with modern new Tiger 850 Sport graphic styles.
Designed to Personalize
For the new Tiger 850 Sport, there are over 60 authentic Triumph accessories available, all of which were created in tandem with the bike to guarantee smooth integration and the same high manufacturing quality and finish.
The Trekker side-opening panniers with a 52-liter dual helmet top box and the Expedition top-opening aluminum panniers with a matching 42-liter top box are two baggage alternatives, both produced in collaboration with Givi. The Tiger 850 Sport accessory line also includes options for improved comfort, protection, capability, aesthetics, and security.
