The Engine and how it works
Triumph’s 1200cc, high-torque British twin engine is in the new Bonneville T120 and T120 Black. This engine has been improved to make riding even better.
With a lighter crankshaft, the weight of the new T120’s engine has been cut by a lot for 2021. Along with making the clutch and balancer shafts work better, this has also decreased inertia. It makes the new generation’s throttle feel much more immediate and responsive.
The T120 has been tuned to have high torque from low in the rev range up to the middle, giving it a thrilling performance all the way through.
The 1200 twin engine has a peak torque of 105 Nm at a low 3,500 rpm and a peak power of 80 PS at 6,550 rpm.
With its well-thought-out liquid cooling system, the upgraded engine for 2021 goes above and beyond EURO 5 requirements. It emits less pollution than the previous generation and gets excellent gas mileage.
The T120 and the T120 black have a service interval of 10,000 miles or 16,000 km, which helps keep the cost of ownership low over time.
Enhanced Handling
For 2021, the new T120 is better to drive because it is 7 kg lighter.
