The legendary Triumph Speed Triple, aggressive, agile, and purposeful, launched the naked performance category in 1994 and coined the term “factory streetfighter.” The highly advanced and powerful Speed Triple ever built, the latest generation of Triumph’s modern motorcycle icon builds on the Speed Triple’s perfect balance of power, handling, and capability. The new S and RS models are better in every way, with the RS having the highest level of specification ever to match its new name and heritage. The new models have all-new high-gloss ten-spoke wheels for a more premium and contemporary look while still maintaining the Speed Triple’s instantly recognizable aggressive, nose-down, focused attitude. The Speed Triple S’s new race-style upswept twin silencers have a larger bore, aluminum heat shields, a black-painted body, and a more slender stainless-steel end cap.
The Triumph 2020 Speed Triple RS Roadster comes standard with lightweight sports silencers that significantly improve the roar of the Triple engine, making the latest model the best-sounding Speed Triple ever. The new Speed Triple S and RS models feature significant engine development and advanced engineering for improved performance and weight savings. Each of the 105 new engine components contributes to more power and torque across the rev range, as well as a smoother, more linear power delivery. Peak power is up 7% to 150 PS, and peak torque is up 4% to 117 Nm compared to the previous generation.
Triumph 2020 Speed Triple RS Roadster – Features
The Legend Comes of Age
We introduced a bike in 1994 that sparked a segment, defined a category, and gave rise to the term “street fighter.” Its brooding minimalist stance enclosing a thrilling Triumph 2020 Speed Triple RS Roadster engine delivering a perfect balance of Power, Character, Precision, And Performance has evolved over the past 21 years while remaining true to its roots. So, how can we improve the new generation? With eye-catching lines, billet machined components, Ohlins suspension that sticks to the road on the R, and incredible stopping power from Bemba Monobloc brakes. Add cutting-edge rider-assistance technology, fistfuls of torque, and real-world management from the all-new 1050cc Triple engine, tuned for maximum performance. That, we believe, is how.
Configuration
The Triumph 2020 Speed Triple RS Roadster’s new engine is tuned to deliver more than ever in pure linear torque and real world riding power. The all-new free-flowing under-seat exhaust system unleashes the rich characterful roar unique to a Triumph triple engine for all to hear when you crank up the intensity. The Speed Triple’s three-cylinder, all-new 1050cc engine provides the ultimate real-world riding experience. You are in charge of delivering acres of full-range torque. Five selectable rider modes have been added for the first time, allowing you to choose how the power is given in conjunction with the most up-to-date rider-focused technology, such as throttle mapping, traction control, and ABS. Rain, Road, Sport, a map that you can customize, and a fifth, Track mode for, well, the Track, are among the methods available. The all-new under-seat exhaust system is beautiful, but it’s also lighter, 70 percent freer-flowing, and tuned to unleash the rich, characterful roar that only a Triumph triple engine can produce.
Engine
The 104 new developments in our all-new 1050cc triple engine deliver More Power, More Torque, and More Responsiveness, with the slightest twist of the ride by wire throttle giving an instantaneous wave of torque and a genuinely heart-pounding surge of acceleration.
An all-new ECU, cylinder head design, combustion chamber, header design, fuel delivery system, slip assist clutch, crankshaft, and airbox equals an all-new engine with a reduced, narrower profile for the best road riding experience. Anyone who rides it is guaranteed a thrill.
