The original Triumph 2020 Rocket 3 TFC Bike was a true original, with the world’s biggest production motorcycle engine and more power and presence than any other motorcycle.
The new Rocket TFC, which tore up the rule book and established a new bar for torque, performance, capability, and style, was presented in 2019 as the next chapter in this extraordinary saga.
Triumph 2020 Rocket 3 TFC Bike – Features and Specs
World-Beating Performance
The all-new 2,500cc motorcycle production engine is at the heart of the 2019 Rocket 3 TFC’s class-defining performance, providing 225Nm, the world’s most excellent torque, a stunning 74 percent more than its nearest rivals. Furthermore, the all-new engine produces 182PS of peak power, which is 21% more than the previous generation and makes it the most potent Triumph ever.
The Rocket 3 TFC engine’s unequaled performance is complemented with cutting-edge components such as lightweight titanium inlet valves that allow for even greater revving than the previous Rocket, as well as custom features like the Arrow silencers with carbon fiber end-caps.
Heart-Stopping Muscular Presence
The new Rocket 3 TFC features unique lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, including front mudguard, silencer end caps and exhaust heat shields, fly screen, drive shaft cover, heel guards, and tank strap, with incredibly imposing poise and stance and beautifully distinctive details, such as new signature twin LED headlights.
New complicated twenty-spoke cast aluminum wheels with imposing 240mm rear tire width and commanding internally wired flat handlebars add to the Rocket 3 TFC’s clean, uncluttered look and substantial feel.
The one-of-a-kind premium twin-color ‘carbon black and matt carbon black’ paint scheme with brushed foil decals, gold highlights, and electroformed 3D Triumph logo, as well as neatly disguised pillion footrests, contribute to a clean bare rear end.
Category Dominating Technology
The new Rocket 3 TFC has unrivaled class-leading technology that sets a very high bar for the best riding experience.
The newest full-color 2nd generation TFT instruments bring considerably more complexity and significantly improved capability over the previous Rocket. The TFT system’s minimalist, attractive design has two information layout themes and a function that enables the rider to customize their start-up screen.
The optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control set-up ensure optimal braking performance and degree of traction, regardless of the lean angle, raising the level of rider-focused technology even further. Four riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, and Rider-configurable) change the throttle map and traction control settings to fit the riding circumstances or the rider’s preferences.
The Rocket 3 TFC comes standard with Triumph Shift Assist and Hill Hold Control, elevating the riding experience to new heights. The Triumph Shift Assist function allows for clutch-less up and down rapid shifts, which improves shifting times compared to manual gear changes, while the Hill Hold feature gives the rider complete control and prevents the bike from sliding backward.
The Rocket TFC has all-LED lighting, including an all-new full-LED dual headlamp with trademark-shaped Daytime-Running-Light (DRL, market-specific availability), tiny LED indicators, tail light, and number plate light, for greater visibility, low energy usage, and high durability.
Electronic cruise control is also included as a standard, which helps to reduce rider fatigue on lengthy trips. The Rocket 3 TFC also has less ignition, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and a USB charging port for added convenience and security.
The all-new Rocket 3 Triumph Factory Custom’s powerful TFT instruments have been engineered to give even more capabilities when enabled by an additional Bluetooth connection module, in addition to its base specification. When installed, the complete TFT connection system includes the world’s first motorcycle-integrated ‘GoPro control system, Triumph’s Google-powered ‘turn-by-turn’ navigation system, and music and phone control.
Category Defining Equipment Specification
The 2019 Rocket 3 TFC is 14 percent lighter than its predecessor, with a 44.5kg weight reduction, for even better handling and riding pleasure. An all-new, one-of-a-kind aluminum frame that leverages the engine as a stressed member for mass optimization, an all-new aluminum single-sided swinging arm, engine component revisions, carbon fiber bodywork, and lightweight brake components all contribute to the cost savings.
The Rocket 3 TFC offers a category-leading level of equipment, including top-spec Brembo Stylema® calipers, high-spec adjustable 47mm upside-down Showa cartridge forks, and a fully adjustable Showa mono-shock with a piggyback reservoir.
A Brembo radial master cylinder and MCS span and ratio adjustable brake lever, as well as a matching clutch lever, round out the luxury package.
Engineering Features of Outstanding Beauty
The new 2019 Rocket 3 TFC comes standard with a genuine leather interchangeable ‘twin or single’ seat set-up, as well as an infill pad to go with the single seat set-up. A unique single-sided swing arm and an unusual sculpted 3-header exhaust line round out the package.
