Triumph 2020 Daytona Moto2 765 Roadster – Features

Highest-Ever Specification

With new top-spec Brembo Stylema brakes, the latest generation of track-ready Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires, and race-proven high-spec Ohlins front and rear suspension, the new Daytona Moto2 765 has the most significant specification yet seen on Triumph’s famous championship-winning racer. In addition to its highest-ever specification and increased engine capacity, it’s now even lighter than the previous generation Daytona, resulting in improved agility and feel.

Precision-Perfect Chassis

The Daytona Moto2 765 has the same championship-winning chassis as the legendary Daytona R, and it’s this championship-winning configuration that inspired Triumph’s current Moto2TM development programmer, as well as Peter Hickman’s excellent 2019 Isle of Man TT Supersport Race 2 victory. The most dynamic, agile, and accurate handling Daytona ever made, with track-ready suspension and a new higher-spec brake and tire combination, is the busiest, elegant, and precise handling Daytona ever manufactured.

Rider-Focused Technology

New full-color TFT instruments with an official co-branded Moto2 startup screen, five riding modes (including ‘Track’) and Triumph’s Shift-Assist quick shifter for up and down gear changes without having to operate the clutch, ride-by-wire for the first time on a Daytona, ABS, and switchable traction control are among the most ride-enhancing technologies ever seen on a Daytona.

The Race That Named A Motorcycle

Buddy Elmore started the 1966 Daytona 200 in 46th place on his 500cc Triumph motorcycle, then overhauled the whole field to win the race in one of the most incredible racing feats ever. Since then, the Daytona moniker has been associated with Triumph’s most successful racing name.

Your Moto2™ Factory Ride

The new Daytona 765 is the first official road bike partnership with Dorna Moto2, and it was designed to incorporate the same engine updates and performance enhancements as our 2019 Moto2 race engines to deliver a ride that’s as close to a Moto2 bike as possible for both the road and track days.

The new Daytona features a pure single-seat setup, cutting weight and emphasizing its athletic objective. It is designed for great road and track capabilities. There’s also a race-inspired rear pad incorporated into the rear bodywork, as well as a new smoother track-optimized seat material that allows for better rider mobility across the seat.

The new Daytona also has the latest multi-function ergonomically optimized switch cubes with five-way joystick control for easy, intuitive access to the instruments while riding.

Rain, Road, Rider Configurable, Sport, and Track are five new riding modes available for the first time on a Daytona, all of which modify the throttle map, traction control settings, and ABS settings to fit the riding style and road conditions and are all activated through ride-by-wire.

The new Triumph 2020 Daytona Moto2 765 Roadster is track-ready and performance-oriented, with Triumph Shift Assist as standard – the up and down quick shifter for clutchless gear changes – ideal for concentrated riding for track enthusiasts.

The new Daytona Moto2TM 765 Limited Edition features official Moto2TM branding and a unique paint scheme in Carbon Black, Graphite Grey, and Aluminium Silver, with a special, distinctive exposed carbon fiber effect and Aluminium Silver tank decals inspired by the Union Jack style livery of the Moto2TM engine development bike.

The main frame and swing arm feature a unique transparent anodized finish that significantly reduces weight compared to typical powder coating, completing its performance-focused poise and flair. The elegant new Daytona Moto2TM 765 is ready on any road or track, thanks to the distinctive dual headlamp, rear paddock stand bobbins, and LED indicators.
