Tracer 9 GT 2022 Yamaha Sports Touring Bike – Features and Price
Engine
Tracer 9 GT 2022 Yamaha Sports Touring Bike has a downdraft intake and a newly built 890cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, three-cylinder, four-valve-per-cylinder fuel-injected (YCC-T) engine. It is good with a bore stroke of 78 mm, a bore stroke of 62.1 mm and an outstanding compression ratio of 11.5:1. It produces a lot of torque with a lot of power. Almost every engine component has been reworked from the pistons and connecting rods through the crankshaft, camshafts, and crankcase. The combustion efficiency has improved by 9%, and the fuel efficiency has grown to 49 miles per gallon.
The fuel distribution system has undergone a comprehensive overhaul. The fuel injectors on previous Tracer 9 GTs were directly attached to the cylinder head, but the Tracer 9 GT’s fuel injectors are now connected to the throttle valve side of the throttle bodies. The new injectors directly spray at the back of the intake valve heads to increase fuel atomization and reduce fuel particle adherence to the port walls, resulting in excellent combustion efficiency. The Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) electronic technology has been extensively tested on YZF series models and previous. Tracer 9 GT models are used to control the throttle valve. The forged pistons are light and provide for smooth, high-revving power.
The bike provides an unsurpassed level of manufacturing accuracy; the forged connecting rods are created utilizing the fracture-split process. The new big-end ring of the connecting rod is purposely shattered and then reunited. The new bike is good that it has the rods are fastened together again around the crankshaft; the result is a pair of entirely matching halves that generate a far more precise mating surface. The three-cylinder bores of the CP3 engine are mounted forward towards the exhaust side. The direct-plated ceramic-composite cylinder bores provide superior heat dissipation and reduced friction. At the same time, the offset minimizes piston to cylinder wall friction, which results in more power and better fuel economy.
The Tracer 9 GT’s redesigned muffler helps to reduce mass centralization and creates a low-frequency exhaust tone at low speeds. The exhaust tailpipes are symmetrical from left to right, directing sound pressure to both sides of the machine and producing an exhaust note that gives the rider a sense of torque. The bike is suitable for a remarkable pulse effect, while the newly designed stainless steel header pipes are each given a different curve and length.
When the rider opens and shuts the throttle, the new intake system is designed to match the new engine and gives a linear response. The three intake ducts also improve the excellent midrange and high-rpm engine sound. The intake sounds produced by these ducts are created with diverse cross-sections and lengths so that they all resonate beautifully at distinct wavelength ranges. Simultaneously, the sound pressure has been adjusted to produce an excellent sound in the mid-and high-rpm range. As a result, an air cleaner box with good intake efficiency and a pleasant sound has been created.
The Assist and Slipper (A&S) clutch on the Tracer 9 GT has been designed to work optimally with the new engine, resulting in a lighter clutch lever pull and smoother chassis behavior during downshifts. The transmission ratios have been tweaked, with first and second gear ratios slightly higher than earlier models. The transmission gives the ideal blend of tremendous torque feeling and comfort of usage from accelerating to stopping, thanks to the enhanced momentum of inertia of the crankshaft and the fuel injection settings.
Chassis/Suspension
The new Tracer 9 GT 2022 Yamaha Sports Touring Bike has a newly developed lightweight aluminum frame with a model-specific tune to offer dynamic performance and exceptional riding comfort. This frame has the narrowest portions yet on a Yamaha die-cast frame at just 1.7 mm (the thinnest section on the 2020 Tracer 900’s frame is 3.5 mm) thanks to the newest Controlled Filling (CF) aluminum die-casting technology. Tracee 9 GT Yamaha Bike has a big fuel tank and three rigid rear baggage boxes. The Tracer 9 GT’s steel subframe offers superb straight-line stability and handling.
The Yamaha Tracer 9 GT is equipped with a new longer swingarm housed within the frame. It has a boxed construction made by riveting metal plates together. The redesigned swingarm aids in achieving high stiffness while also being reduced in weight, which gives the rider a sense of drive force and helps in good traction at high speeds and when cornering.
Lightweight wheels are used on the Tracer 9 GT, and these wheels are made using Yamaha’s patented spin forging technique to contribute to excellent handling. These wheels contribute significantly to the Tracer 9 GT’s nimble handling nature, with an 11 percent decrease in inertia momentum in the rear. The Tracer 9 GT has a new radial Nissin master cylinder for the front brake that provides exceptional controllability. The master cylinder piston rotates in the same direction as the brake lever motion, which results in a more linear delivery of hydraulic pressure and improved controllability. The riding position was created with riders of all shapes and sizes and incorporated a two-level adjustable main seat. Riders may also change the handlebars and footpegs to two different settings to choose a comfortable position the instant they get on the bike. The handlebar clamps can be moved 10mm forward-moving the bar 9mm ahead and 4mm up while the footpeg attachments can be raised 14mm higher and 4mm backward.
The Tracer 9 GT boasts an electronically controlled suspension designed in collaboration with KYB® to give sporty performance and a pleasant ride. The new bike is suitable for superb riding comfort and road feel. The suspension provides optimum damping force based on real-time running circumstances. The Suspension Control Unit (SCU) generates the best suspension damping settings using data from the six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The new Engine Control Unit (ECU) and the Hydraulic Unit (HU). The damping adjustment system is solenoid-driven that allow for rapid reflection of changes in damping force and significant damping force changes.
This suspension system delivers consistent damping force even when the suspension piston moves slowly, which helps to stabilize the motorcycle’s attitude while starting from a stop and the chassis attitude when accelerating, stopping, and cornering. The front fork’s rebound and compression damping and the rear shock’s rebound damping are all controlled by an electronically controlled system.
There are two suspension modes on the Tracer 9 GT Sport (A-1) and Comfort (B-1) (A-2). Sport mode is designed for fast riding on dry roads, but it can also handle rainy streets. An all-new bike has uneven asphalt roads or roads with potholes, and Comfort mode is designed to provide a comfortable ride.
