We’re still processing what a great year 2023 was for motorcycles, with unique metal in every conceivable shape and size, from big-bore adventure bikes to dynamic little single-cylinder heroes.

With BikesCatalog’s Bike of the Year roundup, we’ve chosen our favorites. But, with that, we’re focusing on the future. The following ten bikes give us a taste of an exciting year ahead in the world of motorized two-wheelers. They combine objects we’ve seen but not ridden with vehicles we expect to see sometime in 2024. Following is the complete list of the Top 10 upcoming Motorcycles in 2024.

Triumph Daytona 660

Based on recent spy photos and the teaser image above, the Triumph Daytona will return in 2024! To be realistic, though, don’t expect a reborn 675. Triumph’s new fully faired ‘Daytona 660’ middleweight will be more of a threat to the likes of the latest CBR650R and another 2024 debutant, the Suzuki GSX-8R, although Honda has unexpectedly entered the Supersports sector with the 2024 CBR600RR.

Spy photos show that it rides significantly straighter than its indirect predecessor, which is to be expected given the market’s long-term trend in that direction.

Triumph 400 Cafe Racer

Up next in the list of Top Ten Upcoming Motorcycles in 2024 we have Triumph 400 Cafe Racer. Triumph is making other new bikes besides the Daytona 660, all of which use well-known components. When spy photos of the new single-cylinder Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 models were initially released in late 2023, they showed a cute little cafe racer with a Speed Triple 1200 RR-style bikini fairing atop the engine and frame. It seemed.

Is it the “Speed 400 RR”? Maybe, but there’s also a chance it will be called Thruxton, according to the name theory put forward by the Indian media. MV Agusta 921 S

For 2024, we can look to MV Agusta to take on more of the neo-retro cafe racer boogie. With that, there’s no need for speculation — the 921 S has already been shown in concept form, and the company’s CEO told MCN that manufacturing will begin in mid-2024.

The bike is based on the 1970s MV Agusta 750S and has been updated for the 2020s with a trellis frame and a 921cc inline-four engine that produces 115 horsepower.

Honda CBR600RR

We’ve mentioned it here before, but to be clear, we’re delighted to see the CBR600RR back on the scene after a few years. We are also eager to know how well the bike sells. Is a 600cc beast with a short powerband and stiff riding posture still a hard sell, or does being alone make the heart grow fonder?

While the looks and specs of the bike remain somewhat similar, the 2024 CBR600RR will feature a ton of new technology, such as improved electronic rider support capabilities and a stylish new color TFT.

KTM 990 Adventure

Next in the list of Top Ten Upcoming Motorcycles in 2024, we have KTM 990 Adventure. A 990 Adventure with the same 947cc lump is on the horizon, with a larger, updated version of the LC8c parallel twin replacing the aging 890 lump, given the 990 Duke’s unveiling. Packing the engine should be relatively easy since it’s essentially the same size as the smaller unit it replaces (the longer piston stroke provides increased capacity). The change will also give a more pronounced separation from the recently released, Chinese-built 790 Adventure , as the 990 Duke undoubtedly did for its CFMoto-built 790 sibling.

KTM RC 990

Along with the possible 990 Adventure, next in list of Top Ten Upcoming Motorcycles in 2024 could be RC 990 as KTM looks to recoup some of the investment it made in the new 990 engine. That’s right, KTM is returning to the fully-fired market after a long hiatus, albeit with a middleweight model rather than a superbike like the RC8.

As early as 2022, new RC prototypes have been discovered, so the bike should have advanced quite a bit in development by then. KTM may slightly increase the output from the 121 horsepower produced by the new engine when running in its 990 Duke configuration.

Suzuki GSX-8R

We expect the GSX-8R to be on our Best Bikes of 2024 list, as the GSX-8S was one of our favorites in 2023. Along with its new bodywork, it has received some thoughtful changes, such as the separate bars that have been raised slightly, making it more similar to the upcoming Triumph Daytona 660 and CBR650R or the Aprilia RS660 than the Yamaha R7.

Although the covers were taken off the bike during the EICMA show in November, we have already seen it. However, it won’t be introduced to the public or media until early 2024.

Ducati Hypermotard 698

Another bike we’ve seen is the new Hypermotard 698, which we hope to get a taste of in 2024. Given that it’s equipped with Ducati’s first single-cylinder engine in nearly 20 years, we expect it to ride quite differently from other bikes. In the Borgo Panigale stable.

Ducati has brilliantly managed to squeeze 82.5bhp (78.5bhp road-legal exhaust) out of the single thumper, which is half a piece of an ancient 1198 V-twin. Even a beginner can perform impressive skids on it.

Royal Enfield Scram 450

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is just a Himalayan with a mild Scrambler modification. Since an all-new Himalayan “450” has recently entered the market, it will undoubtedly not be long before the new vehicle receives the same changes to make it the “Scram 450”. Not long ago, a prototype of what could very well be the new Scrum was spied.

Based on the 2024 Himmy, the Scram 450 is expected to cost at least £1,000 more than the bike it replaces. However, the upgrade has a more robust and complex water-cooled “Sherpa” engine and additional technology, such as a color TFT display.

Yamaha YZF-R9

Could 2024 be the year Yamaha finally adds fairing and separate handlebars to its three-cylinder barebones bike, given the popularity of the R7 and the recently unveiled completely redesigned MT-09? Considering which debuted not too long after the original? Let’s wait and see if the corporation owns a patent called R9.
