To check out the Top Ten Best New Motorcycles for 2022, we went to Motorcycle Live 2021 at the Birmingham NEC last week. Motorcycle Live is back at the NEC after a two-year hiatus, and several reschedules. We decided to take a trip down and check out the latest motorcycles available for 2022, even though we weren’t showing at the show.
The impact of COVID on displays worldwide resulted in a slightly smaller show overall and the absence of many recent products, including the new Ducati Panigale V4s and Yamaha and Aprilia ranges. Regardless, we enjoyed our day at the show and are excited to see the latest lineup of bikes for 2022.

2022 Kawasaki H2 SX SE
The new “SE” model variant of the supercharged H2 SX makes significant improvements for 2022. The bike now has upgraded technology that includes Kawasaki’s new Advanced Rider Assist System. This system, developed by Bosch, is the first to use adaptive cruise control on a Kawasaki motorcycle. Unlike other bikes, where the hardware is visible, we love how the radar system is neatly hidden in the front of the bike. This gas guzzler features a 197 horsepower supercharged inline 4-cylinder engine that produces an incredible 101 lb-ft of torque, more than enough to cruise the interstate or chase supercars on the autobahn! The SE Kawasaki is all-new for this year and features the latest semi-active SHOWA Skyhook suspension.
2022 Kawasaki Z900RS SE
The new Z900RS SE raises the bar for classic modern motorcycle design. Not only does the bike look the business, but it has the latest components to match! Kawasaki has added a cafe racer style inspired by the 1970s! The “Metallic Diablo Black” Z900 RS was at the show, and we think it looks fantastic, especially with the gold wheels! The Ohlins rear shock on the RS SE variant is new and adjustable, and the front suspension has been adjusted.
Kawasaki Z900 Race bike
Kawasaki-backed experimentation, starting with the regular Z900, has improved the machine’s performance. The bike has been given a performance boost to enable competitive racing in the No Limits Street Bike Cup. The bike has an updated suspension and brakes, a complete race design livery, and an exhaust system.
2022 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR.
The Speed Triple RR, an all-new “sports bike for the road” from Triumph, is the company’s first authentic sports bike since the legendary Daytona. This motorcycle is fascinating for 2022. Despite the gradual decline in the popularity of sport bikes in the 1990s, the RR shows that manufacturers are still considering them. The bike is powered by the 1160cc, 178hp, and 92.2lb-ft triple from their Speed Triple RS. Other parts, such as the frame, are also carried over from the bare bike, but the RR has a new bar location set 135mm lower and 50mm back. The bike itself has excellent Ohlins and Brembo components as well as road tires that are completely ready for the track.
2022 Herald Brute 500
The 500cc single-cylinder Herald Brute, built, designed, and manufactured in the UK, certainly caught our attention. Many parts of this bike were developed in-house by Herald Motorcycles, including yokes, a wiring loom, a swingarm, outriggers, levers and more. We love this contemporary take on the British classic cafe racer!
Langen 2 stroke from Langen Motorcycles
This highly exclusive UK-made 2-stroke motorbike, limited to just 100 units, raises the bar regarding engineering, finish and luxury components. The bike’s 249cc 90-degree V-twin engine produces 75 horsepower, which is a ton of power for a 250cc engine! It has a retro aesthetic with modern performance thanks to RWU Ohlins forks and twin custom KTech shocks.
FTR1200 – Indian Motorcycles
The designers of the FTR1200 were inspired by the Indian flat tracker race bike. In essence, the Commercial Bike is a flat tracker for the streets! We love the unbridled power of the 120 hp V-twin motor and its rough ride qualities. The bike hasn’t changed much since it was first introduced in 2019; the firm recently added a 17-inch front wheel to enhance handling and front-end sensation. This machine is pure American muscle, and we know you’ll love it too. The Indian FTR1200 is a unique bike with an extensive appeal to those looking for a motorcycle to rekindle their passion.
Crighton CR700w rotary
We had to stop and inspect this bike. The Crighton CR700w is a lightweight, 220hp, 700cc winkle rotary race bike. Only 25 of the CR700w motorcycles were produced, and prices start at £85,000. Compared to conventional piston engines, the Winkel rotary engine uses a fundamentally different combustion process that enables it to have much more power than a small capacity. This innovative hand-built motorcycle will be manufactured in Wiltshire, UK. It was a pleasure to see this bike in person; As for you, I’m interested in hearing about it! 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo
The Beast will have an all-new electronic suspension with anti-dive technology from WP in 2022, and we think the new colorway looks fantastic! With the revised rest, you can be sure that this bike will offer a very smooth ride on the road and a focused, agile ride on the racetrack. Cool technology!
