Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle – Features
Powerful Engine
The new Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle comes with a higher capacity and more excellent performance 900cc engine that is fully Euro 5 compliant and features the unique 1, 3, 2 firing order for more excellent character and feel. It results in improved intake noise under load, more excellent feedback from the engine to the rider, an incredible distinctive engine sound and outstanding tractability and throttle feel. It results in a much closer association to the throttle character, sound, and feel of a twin lower down while maintaining all the torque, feel and delivery in the mid-range and top-end of the triple engine.
The engine offers a more significant 10% peak torque than the previous 2017 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro, now 87Nm at 7,250rpm, with better torque low down and across the rev range. The power is increased by 9% and 95PS peak power at 8,750rpm. Combined, it delivers more excellent responsive acceleration with 0-60Nm and 6th gear roll-on times all significantly beating the previous models and the closest competition. In addition, it offers an aggressive, raspy and engaging triple soundtrack.
An all-new twin radiator setup is mass optimized with lowered coolant volume. It enhances cooling performance and reduces the ambient heat felt by the rider. The radiator-style enhances the new modes’ more striking adventure motorcycle stance and poise. Its shapes and position enable a forward engine position, resulting in an optimized center of gravity. It improves weight distribution for more excellent handling and low-speed balance, while other improvements to the sump and cooling system guarantee it has no impact on ground clearance. A new airbox with an easily accessible air filter with slip and assist clutch for added rider comfort.
Chassis
The new Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle is 5kg lighter than the previous generation model and it delivers the most commanding and agile Tiger ride ever. The new steel trellis frame is more lightweight and has a commanding and elegant Tiger ride ever. An all-new steel trellis frame is not only light but it has a modular construction with bolt-on aluminum rear sub-frame and bolt-on pillion hangers, delivering the most adventure-centric set-up ever for off-road-focused riding.
There is a high specification of suspension across the Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Bike with premium Marzocchi or Showa components tailored to give an ultimate capability for the benchmark-setting new middleweight adventure motorcycles.
For maximum rider convenience and comfort, the Triumph GT Pro model contains segment-leading electronically adjustable rear suspension, letting the rider adjust the rear preload and damping settings with a dedicated menu in the TFT instruments. The rider can select from nine levels of damping control ranging from Comfort to Sport and four preload set-ups.
An all-new Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle contains category-leading Brembo Stylema brakes for extreme stopping power. They are lightweight, compact, carefully sculpted, and ensure high-performing calipers with reduced volume around the piston and brake pads, decreasing the internal space occupied by brake fluid, giving a more immediate braking response. Enhanced airflow around the brake pads helps the new calipers to cool quicker.
The ideal combination of a new lightweight modular frame and lightweight engine with high-spec suspension and Brembo brakes gives a step-change in agility and capability ensuring outstanding handling in all riding conditions. The long-distance travel has been improved on the Tiger 900 with the new large 20 liters fuel tank and brand new adjustable screen delivering excellent wind protection with simple single-handed adjustment.
The ergonomics are improved for the new models and optimized for rider comfort during off-road riding. The seat width is kept narrower. The handlebars are about 10mm closer, offering an excellently comfortable upright riding position and the highest level of rider control when at rest and on the move. In addition, each model comes with a dedicated and distinctive footrest position that suits the expected style of riding with a built-in, easily adjustable two-position seat height mechanism.
Aggressive Tiger Styling
The new Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle features aggressive styling, redesigned smaller-scale bodywork, revised finishing, and cleaner lines that give the 900 Rally Pro a unique and dominant adventure stance. It is supported by the narrow stand over width, the visually lighter front end and the dominant fuel tank design and size.
An all-new bodywork features focused and aggressive adventure styling, and it includes fuel tank, tank end panels, seat panels, high mudguard and radiator duct exit. The finish and detailing are enhanced to their highest level, making the Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph the new benchmark for quality.
Accessible and Adaptable
The new Tiger 900 Rally Pro 2020 Triumph Adventure Bike is more accessible to more riders; the mid and top-spec models in the family have a dealer-fit A2 license compliance kit available that incorporates a dedicated APS twist grip and engine tune. The dealer can quickly reinstate the full power once the rider has achieved their full license.
