Engine Features
The newly designed 776cc parallel twin D.O.H.C. engine quickly reaches its maximum power output while delivering the perfect smooth, controlled, torquey power balance at low R.P.M. configuration compared to the 90-degree V-twin engine found in SV650 models.
The engine’s power pulses are smooth, which improves grip and produces a powerful power output at very low speeds, making the GSX-8S easy to maneuver in heavy traffic or tight turns. For the first time on a production motorcycle, Suzuki’s unique cross-balancer technology contributes to a lightweight, compact design that offers smooth operation.
The pistons were designed to improve strength and reduce weight using F.E.M. (Infinite Element Method) analysis.

Suzuki’s S.C.E.M. method is used to plate 84mm cylinder bores inside aluminum die-cast cylinders. The S.C.E.M. cylinder, first developed for racing and tested on the track, improves heat dissipation, reduces friction, and offers a reliable, wear-resistant seal to the piston rings. Dual, linked 42mm electronic throttle bodies provide a realistic response and feel for the rider’s throttle application.
With two 10-hole, long-nose, 49 P.S.I. (343 kph) high-pressure feed fuel injectors, the Suzuki 2023 GSX-8S Sports Motorcycle maximizes fuel atomization for low fuel consumption and improved combustion efficiency. Computer-aided design created the intake pipe length and geometry of the 6.0L air cleaner box for maximum power output and good torque production at low engine speeds.
The Suzuki 2023 GSX-8S Sports Motorcycle’s new short muffler design creates an interesting and distinctive exhaust noise.
The exhaust system is placed primarily under the chassis in a centralized, ideal location that improves handling. Iridium-type spark plugs burn with digital ignition, improving combustion efficiency and strength. This results in increased power, more linear throttle response, more accessible engine starting, and a more stable idle.
Additionally, these high-quality parts have a longer lifespan than standard spark plugs. A large-capacity radiator effectively cools the parallel twin’s power output.   A cooling fan with a thermostat helps maintain coolant temperature by running slowly and shutting it off. In addition to helping maintain a constant engine temperature, a unique cooling system inlet control thermostat valve also reduces idle speed during warm-up. Stabilizes pollution and combustion.
Transmission and Driveline Features
Whether shifting conventionally or using the standard two-way quick-shift system to shift without engaging the clutch, the six-speed transmission’s gear ratios provide thrilling acceleration.
The Suzuki 2023 GSX-8S Sports Motorcycle’s precise shift linkage makes it easy and quick for the rider to select the best gear for the riding conditions. The Suzuki Clutch Assist System (S.C.A.S.) controls the transmission’s output. This mechanism allows a small amount of clutch slip for easy downshifts, similar to a slipper clutch. In addition, it acts as an assist clutch, maintaining a smooth and precise clutch lever pull while increasing plate pressure during acceleration. A robust O-ring drive chain with pre-packaged lubricant between pins and rollers ensures reliable, quiet operation on strong steel sprockets.
Chassis Features
The GSX-8S’s backbone-style frame was designed with the new, compact parallel-twin engine in mind. It is made of solid steel pipes and offers exceptional straight-line stability, sharp handling, and exemplary performance in urban areas, on winding roads, and at high speeds. Rails help riders control the bike and touch the ground when stopping. A new, specially designed aluminum swingarm that improves vertical, lateral, and torsional stiffness for straight-line stability and controlled cornering matches the GSX-8S’s chassis geometry and suspension.
The spring rates and valving of the front fork and single-shock rear suspensions were explicitly designed for the GSX-8S to improve comfort and performance when riding on winding or city streets.
The newly designed 17-inch lightweight cast-aluminum wheels that the GSX-8S rides on look fantastic and add to the bike’s agile handling and aggressive performance. With a wider 180/55ZR17 at the rear and 120/70ZR17 at the front, Dunlop’s new generation Roadsport 2 radial tires are designed specifically to work best on the Suzuki 2023 GSX-8S Sports Motorcycle. They offer outstanding traction in wet and dry conditions, quick warm-up time, and long-running life. Dual front brakes provide solid and reliable stopping power with 310 mm diameter discs and radially mounted N.I.S.S.I.N. four-piston calipers.
To help guarantee controlled stops, a 240 mm stainless steel rear disc brake with N.I.S.S.I.N. single-piston calipers is added to the front brakes. A small anti-lock brake system (A.B.S.) controller can modulate the front and rear brakes to adapt stopping force to available traction. The GSX-8S’s longer wheelbase enhances straight-line stability than most barebones street fighters.
Nevertheless, the chassis geometry of the motorcycle was changed to maintain its compactness while guaranteeing nimble handling and cornering ability. The upright riding position of the GSX-8S provides greater comfort and control. .. The compact parallelepiped engine makes possible decently sporty riding position between the handlebars, footrests, and seat, allowing the rider to move their foot pegs further forward. A multi-step adjuster on the front brake lever allows for rapid acceleration—adjustment of lever distance from the grip. The rider’s seat provides firm support and is designed for a pleasant, sporty ride. The back edge of the chair has a cover that offers a positive grip and is designed to provide flexibility in movement.
A bold upright strut that reaches upwards towards the leading edge of the front fender. This strut increases power and gives the GSX-8S a more aggressive look. The narrow rear of the 3.7-gallon (14L) gasoline tank flows toward the front of the rider’s seat, providing more room for the rider’s knees.
