Ninja 650 ABS 2019 Kawasaki Sports Bike – Features and Price
649cc Twin-Cylinder, DOHC Engine
They are tuned to give mighty, responsive power for daily riding that inspires confidence in inexperienced riders while still being energetic enough for sport riding. Camshaft profiles have been fine-tuned for speed and performance. In addition, the slim intake port design aids in improving engine responsiveness and performance. The power sensation is enhanced by the airbox design, which has a single massive intake. The exhaust system includes a small header, and the interior structure of the streamlined muffler improves power delivery even further. The damper is located underneath the engine to assist lower the center of gravity and distribute weight more evenly.
The radiator fan cover for the Kawasaki Air Management System (KP) (KAMS) helps guide hot engine air down to the path and away from the worthy rider. The compact parallel-twin engine helps to keep the overall proportions of the motorbike modest and agile. Engine running is exceptionally smooth thanks to the 180-degree crankshaft and balancer shaft. The engine is concise from front to back thanks to the triangular crank and transmission shaft architecture, a semi-dry sump (KP) oil system, and the slight pitch of the chrome pistons. The use of composite (KP) coated aluminum cylinders aids in reducing engine width.
Digital Fuel Injection (KP)
Fuel injection settings give the engine’s quick-revving nature by providing smooth low-end responsiveness. The 36mm throttle body has precise atomizing injectors for improved engine responsiveness and low-to-mid-range output. Sub-throttle valves (KP) are installed in the throttle bodies for enhanced performance and rideability. The ECU controls the sub throttles located behind the main throttle valves to offer the EFI system a more accurate throttle response, akin to a constant-velocity carburetor. Emissions are significantly condensed when precise fuel injection is combined with an exhaust catalyzer. Starting and warm-up are made simple with the automatic rapid idle system.
Assist & Slipper Clutch (KP)
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, allowing for the use of fewer and lighter clutch springs for a softer feel at the lever. The Slipper feature permits some clutch slippage under high back-torque situations, such as when a low gear is chosen, to assist minimize engine lock-up and stalling, as well as rear-wheel hop.
6-Speed Transmission
A linkage-type gear shift mechanism is included on an excellent shift touch and feel. The transmission shafts and shift drum are compacted in a cassette-style transmission. Positive Neutral Finder, a Kawasaki-only user-friendly tool, is included.
Frame
The dimensions and wall thicknesses of the high-tensile steel trellis frame have been designed to decrease frame weight and contribute to extraordinarily light handling significantly. Frame components are aligned with the optimal pipeline to ensure that the frame’s lines are as straight as feasible. When bends were required, the angles were as little as possible. As a consequence, the design disperses stress as well as feasibility. To help reduce weight, three-point rigidly mounted engine and footpeg stays are employed as stressed elements.
Suspension
The Ninja® ZXTM-10R’s horizontal back-link progressive suspension technology maximizes balance, sport riding potential, and ride comfort. The linkage is mounted on top of the swingarm to create a way for the under-engine muffler, which helps to distribute mass better. Because the rear shock is located farther away from the exhaust, it will not be impacted by the heat generated by the exhaust. The hollow press design of the Gull-wing swingarm helps to keep it light.
41mm Front Fork
To improve look, the triple top clamp incorporates attractive reinforcing ribs on the upper surface.
Triple Petal Design Brake Discs
Nissin brake calipers are stylish and deliver outstanding braking feel and control. For an exceptional braking feel, the front brake calipers grab twin 300mm petal discs and boast huge 27mm pistons. Petal shape provides excellent cooling and resistance to warping.
Available ABS
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) assists with braking in specific situations. The Bosch 9.1M control unit delivers accurate electronic management while being space and weight-efficient.
Wheels and Tires
The light, agile aspect of the sporty five-spoke wheel design. Dunlop Sportmax D214 silica-blend tires are installed for improved performance and fuel efficiency. Cockpit That Inspires Confidence Separate clip-on type handlebar mounts are positioned significantly above the triple upper clamp for an aggressive sport riding stance. To aid in maintaining comfort, the leg position is opened up by placing the footpegs low and front. The front seat is low and narrow to make it simpler for the rider to stop with both feet on the ground. The gasoline tank is mounted low on the chassis, and its thin shape makes it easier to reach the ground, giving the rider more confidence.
For a more elegant look, a resin design fuel cap removes the need for attaching bolts. The instrument panel contains an analog tachometer and an easy-to-read LCD multi-function meter. A gear position indicator and an upshift indication light are included. The tachometer needle complements the upshift light by changing colors in three phases as the selected shift point approaches. The speedometer, odometer/trip meters, coolant temperature, fuel level, fuel range, and average/instant fuel consumption are all shown on the LCD, as well as an Economical Riding Indicator (KP) that shows when fuel consumption is at its lowest. For greater comfort and control, 5-way adjustable brake and clutch levers fit various hand sizes.
Bodywork/Styling
In keeping with the track-focused Ninja® ZXTM-6R and ZX-10R, the bodywork recalls a powerful Ninja supersport image. The front cowl is reminiscent of the Ninja ZX-10R thanks to chin spoilers under the swept-back headlamps. The style of the windshield adds to the overall Ninja look.
Adjustable in three positions with a full range of roughly 2.5 inches. To increase airflow and minimize engine heat, the fairing includes big holes. The aggressive appearance is enhanced by the front fender design and the small, upswept tail cowl. The X-shaped LED taillight illuminates.
