Every year in September, the Moto Guzzi brand celebrates its birthday by inviting thousands of loyal fans from all around the globe to Mandello del Lario, where they congregate at Moto Guzzi’s house. In addition to this international festival, Moto Guzzi provides registered fans and prospective buyers with the ability to participate in various tours designed to provide a more in-depth experience aboard Moto Guzzi models.
Moto Guzzi Experience 2021 includes a tour in Sardinia (May 25–31), a shorter tour in the Dolomite Alps (July 23–26), and a tour in Tuscany devoted solely to the V85 TT (October 1–4). Furthermore, two essential incidents will occur in the Balkans (July 3–10) and Tunisia (October 9–18). The new V85 TT, as well as the updated V7 and V9, will be available to participants, all powered by a particular version of the Moto Guzzi V2, now with 850cc of displacement and 65 hp.
At each leg, the bikes will be rotated, giving each participant enough opportunities to test and familiarise themselves with each model on real-world roads. The most evocative tour, however, will take a legion of Moto Guzzi enthusiasts to North Cape, Norway, along the same path that Giuseppe Guzzi explored in 1928 from Mandello del Lario to North Cape aboard the then-new Moto Guzzi GT 500, nicknamed “Norge” after that highly successful raid.
Giuseppe Guzzi was Carlo’s brother as well as his wingman. Giuseppe was there for Carlo at every stage of his tremendous artistic endeavor, which resulted in forming one of the motorcycle industry’s most admired brands. Giuseppe worked tirelessly to research, refine, and hone each model, and his epic trip to the North Cape was a shining example of his determination and diligent technical approach.
The journey back to North Cape will take participants through the Alpine pass into Switzerland, then to central and northern Europe, and eventually through the mystical scenery of Norwegian roads through forests and across fjords. The Century Raid will begin on August 17 and end on September 12 in Mandello del Lario. That’s 27 days on the path to immersing yourself in the exclusive love for Moto Guzzi held by so many enthusiasts around the world.
