Moto Guzzi 2017 Stelvio 1200 ABS Adventure Bike – Specifications
Engine
The all-new Moto Guzzi 2017 Stelvio 1200 ABS Adventure Bike comes with the latest Quattrovalvole engine containing the V-shaped 90-degree of a transverse twin-cylinder engine. This engine is designed carefully and is optimized for best performance. It has the raised cam profile single camshaft timing system with the hydraulic chain tensioner. The forged pistons with three rings are cooled by oil jets in the crankcase. The ultra-light valves in special alloy steel have 5mm stems and conical valve springs, which eliminate the resonance and power loss at high engine speeds. The two coaxial pumps are used for lubrication and cooling. These pumps circulate lubricant through the separate duct in the head up to the exhaust valve seats. The cylinder contains an extremely modern design with the cooling fins tapered towards the front of the cylinder. The Marelli IWP 189 fuel injectors are located on its intake ducts featuring the 50mm of throttle bodies. The new integrated ignition and injection ECU ensure an adequate fuel metering throughout the entire combustion cycle. It improves the throttle response and midrange power delivery. The latest electronic components i.e. ATC system prevent sliding and maintains the best grip. The gearbox of six-speed ensures the best gear shifting experience.
Comfort
The all-new Moto Guzzi 2017 Stelvio 1200 ABS Adventure Bike ensures the greater comfort when riding off-road. The seat is very carefully designed so that rider can enjoy a long ride without any feeling of fatigue. The saddle, footrest, and handlebars provide the ultimate sense of comfort during the ride. The adventure bike features the windshield and saddle offering the minor level of adjustability. The handlebar, levers, and pedals are race-inspired while the hydraulic compression guarantees the best damping effects. This adventure bike is always ready to face the challenges of city traffics, off-roads and hilly area. The new aerodynamic design provides the minimum vibration with top fairing and windshield ensure best riding comfort. They are developed by inspiring from 2017 Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX. This adventure features the new dashboard including the 12V power outlet, fuse box compartment, cockpit and instrument panel with new RPM indicator graphics. There is also six-mark fuel indicators, which is integrated onboard computer functions.
Chassis
The new Moto Guzzi 2017 Stelvio 1200 ABS Adventure Bike features the stylish, strong and attractive chassis. It is designed by keeping off-road challenges in mind. It has the new upper twin spar frame made up of high-strength steel having directional tubes of 2.5mm thickness. The engine is mounted with it using six connecting points, two more than the usual frames for added rigidity. The chassis position facilitates in handling and headstock has 27-degree inclination for the trail of 125mm. It is improved by 1535mm wheelbase, which ensures best steering precision. The high-quality suspension with an adjustable preload and the hydraulic response during compression or rebound is responsible for the smooth response. The front end of this Moto Guzzi bike is controlled by the new upside-down Marzocchi fork with 45mm stanchions and travel of 170mm is used at the rear. The Sachs unit is responsible for the progressive rising of suspension kinematic mechanism. The new three-disc Brembo braking system provides the best stopping power plus it is supported by the deactivating able Continental ABS. The 320mm of front disc brake features is combined with the rear disc brake of 282mm. The wheels feature the cutting-edge design featuring the light alloy rims with the 150/70-17 rear tire.
