Chassis
Brakes
The SX-E has 5 waved front and rear brake discs and hydraulically actuated brake calipers, offering the same technology as the full-size motocross lineup. The technology guarantees excellent brake feel and stopping performance in all conditions.
Frame
The contemporary frame combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with ideal torsional stiffness and is made of thin, high-strength Chromoly steel profiles. Lightweight, fiberglass-reinforced extruded plastic components make up the subframe. For different seat heights, it can be installed in two different positions. Together, they ensure remarkable stability, precise handling, and excellent cornering.
Wheels
The KTM SX-E 5 features an ultra-lightweight, black, anodized aluminum rim that offers extreme strength and safety, just like the full-size KTM factory racers. On any surface, OEM MAXXIS knobby tires have excellent traction.
Front Suspension
The WP XACT, developed by WP Suspension, is a contemporary, fully adjustable air fork with the KTM SX-E 5. With 205mm of travel and a 35mm tube diameter, this inverted front fork provides exceptional comfort and damping. Properties and directional stability. The air spring mounted in the left fork leg can be precisely adjusted to the rider’s weight using a simple air pump, another significant advantage for younger riders.
Rear Suspension

Additionally, the suspension units can be lowered further using a suspension lowering kit from the accessories list for a minimum seat height of just 560 mm, which is suitable for riders four years of age or younger and can accommodate the smallest.
Handlebar
The tapered NEKEN handlebars on the KTM SX-E 5 are made of high-quality aluminum alloy to ensure maximum stability and safety. Its diameter decreases as it moves from the center, where it is 28 mm, to the bend, where it is 22 mm, to the handhold, where it is 18 mm. It enables a narrow lock-on ODI grip on the left side. In contrast, the right side contains a newly developed throttle assembly featuring a vulcanized ODI grip specially designed for the electronic drive. For young riders, the narrower diameter improves grip, which enhances control and significantly reduces fatigue. The handlebar brace’s crash pad protects the rider from hard impacts.
