V-Twin Engine
The SOHC engine produces maximum torque with a long stroke and liquid cooling.
The liquid-cooled A / C generator lowers the temperature of the generator stator coils, allowing it to handle more accessories.
The semi-dry-sump (KP) design reduces the total height of the engine and keeps excess oil away from the crank, thereby minimizing the loss of electrical looting. The new gearbox stores oil, eliminating the need for an oil tank. Triple oil pumps (two squeezings and one feed) reduce turbulence loss and improve oil circulation.
The polished edge feathers match the cylinder ends while tapping the cylinder bases beautifully, and the new water jackets surround the very top of the cylinders.
Digital Fuel Injection (KP)
A thin fuel must is shaped by dual 42mm throttle bodies with an atomizing fuel injector, resulting in higher combustion and fuel economy.
Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) (KP)
The throttle pulley is an acceleration position sensor (APS) that sends signals to a tiny motor that controls the overall throttle valves via the ECU. It decreases rider fatigue by making the throttle much lighter, and precise throttle control leads to better performance, smoother running, and greater fuel efficiency.
Cable-powered APS removes the need for expensive switch housing electronics that can be destroyed and replaced in the event of a bike overturning to the right.
Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS)(KP)
In addition, the Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS) helps improve the comfort of passengers. Because the rear cylinder and exhaust pipe are just below the rider’s and rider’s legs, all V-Twins offer heat problems to the engine, especially the full-dress version with leg shields. The front shield radiates heat to the ground beneath the engine, while the rear fan removes air from the rear cylinder and exhaust pipe and carries it to the bed on the left side of the motorcycle.
Kawasaki is the first manufacturer to provide an efficient air management system as standard equipment to help build a significantly more excellent rider cockpit.
Chassis
6-Speed Transmission
Overdrive 6th gear helps improve fuel efficiency by quickly reducing rpm. The new ECU system communicates with the gear position sensor to remove fuel consumption and adjust the time for a better sense of power. An indicator on the speedometer lets the rider see the current gear position at a glance.
Belt Drive
The shaft drive weighs less, which improves ride quality and suspension mobility. Carbon fiber belts are more potent than Kevlar belts and are significantly thinner. Because the engine is more efficient, more power reaches the rear wheels: low noise and low maintenance.
The large steel box section supports the rigidity of the spinal cord, has excellent stability, and is lightweight at low speeds. The low profile reduces the seat’s height, making it easier to reach the ground.
Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology (K-ACT) (KP)
K-ACT is an acronym for “Knowledge (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive Braking Technology). ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is an integrated stopping system that guarantees the best brake force distribution for safe and efficient braking.
No matter how tightly the front and rear brakes are applied, the electronic system adjusts brake force distribution between the rear and front brakes to improve overall braking performance. The K-ACT includes an anti-lock braking system (ABS) to help prevent wheels from locking up when applying hard, straight brakes for better handling.
Frame – Mounted Front Fairing
For more riding comfort, a large front-firing and windscreen help prevent wind. It is attached to the firing frame to support light steering.
Inside the firing is a retro-style dashboard with a 1960s speedometer and digital music system display.
The shields on the front engine guards reduce the amount of air that hits the rider’s legs. For extra touring comfort, the adjusted air volume allows the rider to adjust the amount of air reaching the legs.
Audio
Full Feature Audio System
When using the Garmin Zumo 600/665 GPS, the navigation audio prompt function allows voice prompt audio to be heard through speakers (or Kawasaki Genuine accessory helmet headsets). (GPS mount, adapter kit, and GPS are offered separately via Kawasaki Genuine Accessory.)
Standard devices include AM / FM tuners and front-firing mounted speakers. On the left handlebar, easy-to-use audio controls are placed within easy reach of the thumb.
Classic Styling
When engaged, LED taillights provide excellent visibility and chrome surrounds create a unique visual statement. Tanks, seats, fenders, saddle bags and other elements all date back to the 1960s.
It is improved with front brakes and clutch levers and master cylinders capable of adjusting the rider’s comfort and style.
Electric Speedometer
For a clean appearance, the electric design saves weight and eliminates the front-wheel-drive unit and wires.
The face of the analog speedometer dates back to the 1960s. The odometer, trip meter, clock, fuel limit, and average mpg are digitally displayed. At a glance, the gear position indicator tells you which gear the transmission is in.
