Kawasaki 2018 Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT Sports Motorcycle – Features and Price
Engine Features
The Kawasaki 2018 Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT Sports Bike is available in 636cc inline-four-cylinder engine. It gives superb racetrack-ready power but it is also flexible in terms of power delivery so that it can also be used on streets and city traffic. It is the ultra-compact and low-friction engine that comes with the long-stroke engine offering increased performance over many other 600cc bikes. All the internal parts of the engine have been designed to achieve maximum durability and reliable yet they are kept smaller to keep the overall dimensional accuracy. The close cylinder pitch and compact crankcases result in the more modest but rigid engine, which further helps in making the whole chassis compact and slim. The short-skirt forged piston contains the light piston pins including the thin connecting rod with a smaller end that helps in reducing reciprocating weight for quick revs.
Moreover, the Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT comes with a tri-axis crankshaft and transmission shaft layout that concentrates engine mass to idealize the engine’s center of gravity. It further helps in reducing pitching movement during braking to give the rider better chassis feedback. The exhaust pre-chamber is located beneath the engine that helps in the centralization of mass, plus it allows the use of small and lighter mufflers. An all-new high volume airbox contributes to increased peak power and smooth power delivery. The long intake funnels help in boosting low to mid-range performance and powerful feeling. The ram-air duct is rigid and it fully supports the instrument panels and mirror stays to eliminate brackets and reduce weight.
The new long throttle bodies increase the distance between the primary and sub-throttle valves for better throttle response. The Keihin throttle bodies of 38 mm including the dual-throttle valves (KP) give superb performance and durability. The sub-throttle is located the main-throttle valves in the throttle bore and the new EC U controls it. An all-new four stainless steel header pipes are connected with the help of joint pipes for more low-to-mid-range torque. The motorcycle features the short first gear ratio that makes it easy for the rider to move away from the stop. The transmission consists up of 6-speed close rates offering superb gear shifting experience. The new FCC Assist and Slipper clutch have been employed in it that is forced together during acceleration by using the rotational forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate.
Electronics
The 2018 Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT Sports Motorcycle features several technological advancements in it. Its traction control system is the same as the one used in Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. Thanks to the two selectable Power Modes, it provides eight combinations covering the full range of riding situations. Like the bigger models, i.e., Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the ZX-6R is equipped with KIBS, which is a highly advanced system specially designed for sports bikes.
The Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRC) features the 3-mode system that combines the best features of Sport-KTRC from the Ninja ZX-10R and KTRC from Kawasaki Concours 14 to help in offering maximum traction with some degree of slippage for sport riding. Modes 1 and 2 features control ignition timing like S-KTRC that uses complex analysis to predict when the traction conditions are about to become worse. The Mode 3 features the higher sensitivity, and it controls ignition timing, fuel and air ultra-smooth operation. This system distinguishes between smooth power front wheel lifts and sudden lift that allows smooth lift if acceptable acceleration is maintained. There is a switch on the left handlebar that allows the rider to turn off the system. The power mode allows the rider to set the power characteristics according to his riding conditions and style. The rider can choose between the full power options or low power that is approximately 80 percent full with milder throttle response.
Chassis Features
The chassis of Kawasaki 2018 Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT Sports Motorcycle is designed in conjunction with the suspension that helps in achieving a comfortable ride on streets and highways. The frame and swingarm were developed with an ideal stiffness balance so that the bike responds instantly and precisely to the rider’s commands, and it offers excellent rider feedback. An all-new aluminum perimeter frame has been employed that ensures rigidity that helps in preventing road or track irregularities from upsetting the chassis. Thanks to the new suspension, the structure helps in offering a more planted ride and it helps in absorbing impact without bothering handling.
The motorcycle comes with a steep 23.5-degree rake range that helps in sharp handling and more feedback from the front tire. The engine mount angel is designed to ensure precise turning and less effort leaning into a turn. It is pressed and cast aluminum components are welded to make a perimeter type frame that provides stability and compact styling. An all-new two-type die-cast aluminum sub-frame is kept light and narrow.
The suspension system comprises up of big piston separate function inverted fork that contains spring in both legs. The preload and damping functions are separated into right and left fork tubes. Furthermore, the 37 mm of piston helps in producing high damping force for better performance during heavy braking. The suspension settings are idealized for winding roads and city riding. The rear suspension contains uni-trak lever ratios and shock damping settings that offer a plush ride on the street and highway. The braking system features the radial-mounted Nissin Monobloc front brake calipers that utilize integrated mounted points on top and bottom of each caliper. Furthermore, the ABS comes as standard in it.
Styling
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R inspires the front section of the styling. It has a low coefficient of drag and it contains minimalist fairing design that looks great. The bike includes the race-spec analog tachometer that provides all the necessary information at a glance.
