Indian 2022 FTR Championship Edition Naked Bike Review Specs

With the release of the Indian 2022 FTR Championship Edition Naked Bike, America’s First Motorcycle Company commemorates its history of flat track racing today. The limited-edition FTR, of which only 400 are available worldwide, enables racing fans from all around the globe to join the Indian Wrecking Crew in commemorating the team’s five straight American Flat Track victories.

The FTR Championship Edition has a genuine racing paint scheme and a commemorative Indian Motorcycle Racing bezel with each championship season on display. It was inspired by the sport’s premier flat-track race motorcycle, the FTR750. But the limited-edition FTR is more than just a showpiece; it has high-end parts like a titanium Akrapovic Exhaust and fully adjustable front forks, and piggybacks shock. The bike’s high-end appearance is completed with carbon fiber components such as the seat cowl, front fender, airbox covers, and headlamp nacelle.

Numerous high-end features and ride-improving technology, such as three ride modes, wheelie control with rear lift reduction, stability control, traction control, and cornering ABS, complement the vehicle’s flat track-inspired appearance.

Along with a 1203cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine that cranks out 120 horsepower and 87 ft-lbs of torque, the FTR Championship Edition has a 4.3-inch touchscreen display. The limited-edition FTR is outfitted with a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with Dunlop street tires with tread patterns inspired by flat tracks. Brembo’s radially mounted twin front disc brakes provide excellent control and stopping power, and the racing bike style is completed with ProTaper flat tracker aluminum handlebars.

In 2017, Indian Motorcycle Racing, the five-time Manufacturer’s Champion, returned to competitive flat track racing. Every year in the top class of the sport since the FTR750’s introduction, an Indian Motorcycle Racing factory rider has won the title. Jared Mees, the 2021 SuperTwins Champion, Briar Bauman, a two-time champion, and Shayna Texter-Bauman, the winningest rider in American Flat Track Singles history, make up the 2022 Indian Wrecking Crew, which will attempt to defend its title at the season-opening race on March 10 at the Volusia Half-Mile.
