There are many more factors than the seat thickness and location of the foot pegs that contribute to a motorcycle’s overall comfort. Comfort has more to do with how the bike makes you feel than when riding it. That’s why we make motorcycles like the Honda 2022 Shadow Aero Cruisers and Shadow Aero ABS—two bikes we know will make riders happy. Due to its compact size and high torque output, the V-twin engine is an obvious option. This motorcycle looks and sounds great thanks to its chromed twin exhaust. The low seat height, low center of gravity, low-maintenance shaft drive, and traditional styling complete the combination. Like the sound of our anti-lock brakes but want something else? Look no further than the Shadow Aero ABS, which also has a rear disc brake.
Honda 2022 Shadow Aero Cruisers – Features and Specs
Engine / Drivetrain
The 745cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine of the vehicle’s drivetrain is capable of outstanding power output throughout a wide rpm range. Intense V-twin sensation and low-rpm torque peak are the results of the long-stroke design of the crankshaft. Triple-Valve Dual-Plug Combustion Chamber. In other words, a five-speed gearbox with a large gear ratio.PGM-FI (Programmable Fuel Management-Fi) for quick acceleration and low gas consumption. To get that classic V-twin cruiser sound, a custom two-into-two exhaust system is used, with the exhaust gasses then being channeled into bullet-style mufflers. Shaft final-drive systems are known for their dependability, smoothness, and minimal maintenance requirements.
Chassis / Suspension
Chrome accents all around provide a sophisticated look. The wide metal front fender complements the bike’s traditional good looks. Confident, balanced handling control and cushy 4.6-inch wheel travel are provided by the sturdy 41mm fork, which has big-diameter chrome-steel shrouds and a massive billet-aluminum triple-clamp for a unique throwback aesthetic. The 3.5-inch wheel travel and five-position adjustable spring preload of the dual-shock rear suspension provide a comfortable, well-controlled ride. A 296mm drilled rotor is gripped by a single front disc brake’s twin-piston caliper and sintered metal pads.
With the ABS model, the back brakes are discs, whereas in the base model, they are drums. A seat height of only 25.9 inches enables easy flat-footing through traffic lights and parking garages. The combination of the low seat height and the narrow seat/tank connection facilitates flat-footed riding. A speedometer is installed on the petrol tank for a vintage look; the tank holds 3.7 gallons—supersized, one-of-a-kind taillight with equally eye-catching, vintage-styled side markers.
V-Twin Engine
A powerful V-twin engine is the only way to go when producing torque. Because of its powerful engine, the Aero is great for short trips, lengthy commutes, and relaxing weekend outings.
2-Into-2 Exhaust System
Elegant exhaust pipes with bullet-shaped silencers go back to the heyday of the cruiser. The 2-into-2 system design and the large diameter of the head pipes provide a genuine V-twin cruiser sound.
Chrome Highlights
Highlights in chrome are the cylinder head covers, air filter covers, engine side covers, brake and clutch lever brackets, rear brake pedal, shift lever, handlebar, and rear shock covers.
Full Front Fender
The Aero’s large metal front fender is a throwback to traditional car design.
Spoked Wheels
The Aero’s spoked wheels give the car a more traditional appearance.
Comfortable Saddle
The seat is wide and low to the ground, and it may be detached to accommodate a passenger.
Low Seat Height
While its seat height of 25.9 inches barely clears the ground, the Aero is a snap to maneuver while using just your feet, especially in low-slung environments like parking lots and stoplights. It doesn’t help that the Aero seat/tank connection is so tiny.
Five-Speed Transmission
With its wide-ratio five-speed gearbox, your car can go from a stroll down the avenue to a quick acceleration onto the highway without having to floor the gas pedal constantly.
Programmed Fuel Injection (Pgm-Fi)
The fuel injection technology in the Shadow eliminates the need for a choke, allowing for easy starting in adverse conditions (such as early mornings at high elevations).
Shaft Final Drive
Low-maintenance, effective, and environmentally friendly. For such a bike, particularly for riders who put in a lot of kilometers, a final shaft drive is an excellent option. No adjustment or lubrication is required while you’re on the road. Also, it aids in keeping your bike neat.
Three-Valve Dual-Plug Combustion Chamber
The best of all worlds. Several of our V-twin cruisers have three-valve combustion chambers, with two intake valves and one exhaust valve, to improve breathing and power, and torque.
Front-Disc Brake
The brakes are one component where you don’t want dated performance. We gave the Shadow Aero a contemporary 296mm front disc brake.
