For certain types of drivers, once you have experienced the exhilarating soul of a foursome, there is no turning back. Therefore, we are pleased to offer the new CBR650R ABS 2019 Honda Sport Bike, a real sports motorcycle, specially made for today’s riding style and equipped with one of the best four-wheel drive motorcycles to date.
Nothing compares to the smoothness of the four, especially the Honda four. The chassis, body, and riding position are all designed to provide a comfortable street riding experience. But it remains stable when the weather gets hot. In short, the riding pleasure of this bike is endless: light, agile, and responsive, not necessarily first-hand. Sportbikes should always do this correctly. But then, someone has to lead the way.
CBR650R ABS 2019 Honda Sport Bike – Features and Specs
Chassis
The steel diamond frame was updated in 2019, adding a pressed (rather than forged) rear rocker arm pivot plate. Compared to the previous design, it is 4.2 pounds lighter and uses double oval beams. This CBR650R ABS 2019 Honda Sport Bike has a specially adjusted stiffness balance between providing stable handling features and a high level of rider feedback.
The curb weight of the ABS version (measured with all oil) is reduced by 11.6 pounds to 458 pounds, not only due to a lighter frame but also saving on fuel tanks and new super-sporty pedals. Another impressive feature of the CBR650R is the 41mm Showa Split Function Front Fork (SFF). The single-tube shock absorber can be adjusted to a seven-level spring preload, which directly acts on the curved gravity die-cast aluminum rocker arm.
The four-piston radially mounted front brake caliper can work on a 310mm floating rotor and pair with a single-piston rear brake caliper and a 240mm rotor. It also provides two-channel ABS. The cast aluminum wheel is a new design with five Y-shaped spokes. It reduces the weight up to 0.97 lbs and 1.2 lbs from front and rear respectively and improves operability by reducing inertia and unsuspended mass.
Engine Features
Honda’s engineers wanted to create the purest and most pleasing mid-size four-cylinder performance for CB650R riders. So, the 649cc, DOHC 16-valve engine was adjusted to increase its power above 10,000 rpm by 5%, and the red line Increased 1,000 rpm. Peak power reached 12,000 rpm, and peak torque reached 8,500. The result is that the motor spins harder at higher speeds and takes longer to rotate, and smooth linear torque transmission is established solidly as the speed increases, and it sounds great in the process.
Direct cam actuation makes the cylinder head compact; the compression ratio is increased from 11.4:1 to 11.6:1. The shape of the new combustion chamber is optimized through the use of improved piston design. The valve mechanism has been strengthened, and the valve timing has been modified; now, Iridium spark plugs are also used.
The asymmetrical piston skirt minimizes hole contact, thereby reducing friction. The ferrous spurs on the outer surface of the cylinder liner reduce oil consumption (and reduce friction) while improving heat transfer. The silent SV cam chain reduces friction loss by using a vanadium coating on its pins. The internal water from the cylinder head to the cylinder takes away most of the external hoses.
Contrary to the single central duct of the old model, the new dual air ducts on both sides of the fuel tank convey a large amount of air. Thereby, it increases the air pressure in the air tank. They also produce a throaty roar. Now, the exhaust device is equipped with a larger exhaust tailpipe (from 1.4 inches to 1.5 inches) inside the muffler to allow more gas to flow through.
The engine of the CBR650R ABS 2019 Honda Sport Bike uses a compact internal structure, a stacked six-speed transmission, and a starter layout, and the cylinder is tilted forward by 30. The auxiliary/slip clutch is a newly added function that reduces upshifts and manages rear wheel lockup during fast downshifts. On the ABS version only, Honda Optional Torque Control (HSTV) maintains rear-wheel traction; if the rider chooses, it can be turned off.
