BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike – Features and Specs
Boxer Engine
It has undergone technical and aesthetic fine-tuning for the new BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike and is now geared to fulfill the EU-5 pollution class criteria. At 7250 rpm, its peak power output has been reduced to 109 hp (80 kW), while its maximum torque has been maintained at 116 Nm.
The BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike’s new throttle valve parts and cylinder head covers, as well as newly designed cylinder heads, offer a more harmonious transition from the outer to the inner cooling fins.
For better and cleaner combustion and increased torque, the cylinder heads have a new turbulence system that swirls the mixture. Because of the more robust power and torque curve, particularly between 4000 and 6000 rpm, pulling power levels are now clearly superior to the predecessors.
ABS Pro featuring DBC – Dynamic Brake Control
This year’s new BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike include ABS Pro in conjunction with DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) for enhanced brake safety while cornering and in other challenging conditions.
With the new shock absorbers travel-dependent damping (WAD), you can adjust the spring preload with ease using the handwheel that comes standard. There are new riding modes for “Rain” and “Road.”
Classic Circular Instrument
The new BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike come standard with a circular instrument with a new dial design including the BMW emblem and “invisible” indicator lights. DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and robust engine drag torque control are now available as independent options in the Riding Modes Pro package for the R nineT and R nineT Pure, as well as the BMW R nineT Scrambler and BMW R nineT Urban G/S. (MSR).
The Comfort Package, cruise control, Riding Modes Pro, and heated handlebar grips are new options. The turning light and brand new rear silencer design choice are both new additions to the list of individual optional items that may be added to the bike.
For those who want a more conventional approach to personalizing their R nineT, “Option 719” provides an array of luxurious possibilities.
In addition to different wheels, milling components packages, and – from the Original BMW Motorrad Accessories collection – a short rear end and a number plate holder behind the rear wheel, there is a tracker-style rear end (Tracker rear end).
New standard and optional paint treatments complete the R nineT model line’s improvements. It is where the BMW 2021 R nineT Urban G/S Heritage Bike comes in. For the 40th anniversary of the BMW Motorrad GS family, this particular model is only available in a limited edition. The famous R 100 GS inspires its color scheme.
