BMW 2020 R1250R Powerful Roadster – Features and Price
Boxer Engine
When it comes to lively riding along rural roads, sporty touring or enjoying long-distance travels and motorcycling experiences to the fullest, GS Adventure models have stood for unique, powerful, and dependable propulsion.
BMW Motorrad has been using 4-valve technology in this context for more than 25 years, combining it with electronic fuel injection and closed-loop catalytic converter technology to offer the highest possible power and torque delivery, efficiency, and environmental friendliness.
The BMW 2020 R1250R Powerful Roadster will arrive in dealer showrooms this month, with price, features, packages, and extras released by BMW Motorrad USA. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2020 BMW R 1250 R is $14,995. (Excluding tax and destination fee). The MSRP for the 2020 BMW R 1250 RS will be $15,695. (Excluding tax and destination fee).
Advanced boxer engine with BMW ShiftCam Technology increased power across the whole engine speed range, lower emissions and fuel economy, and improved operating smoothness and refinement.
The new BMW 2020 R1250R Powerful Roadster not only attain a whole new level of torque and power thanks to the wholly improved boxer engine. It was also feasible to improve refinement and operating smoothness significantly, particularly at lower engine speeds. Furthermore, the new engine has lower emissions and fuel consumption, as well as a very pleasing sound.
For the first time in the serial manufacture of BMW Motorrad engines, BMW ShiftCam Technology was employed for this purpose, allowing adjustment of valve timings and valve stroke on the intake side.
Furthermore, the intake camshafts are engineered to open the two intake valves asynchronously, resulting in an increased swirl of the new, incoming mixture and hence more efficient combustion.
Other technical upgrades to the engine include a toothed chain (rather than a roller chain) for camshaft drive, an optimized oil supply, twin-jet injection valves, and a redesigned exhaust system.
Riding Modes
Two riding modes are included as standard, allowing the motorbike to be tailored to the tastes of various riders. Because of the highest possible traction, the standard Automatic Stability Control ASC offers a high degree of riding safety. Hill Start Control, a set-off aid, is a common feature in all three models, allowing easy set-off on hills.
Riding Modes Pro is an optional ex-works feature that includes extra riding modes, Dynamic Traction Control DTC, Hill Start Control Pro, ABS Pro, and Dynamic Brake Assistant DBC.
The optional equipment item “Riding Modes Pro” now includes the extra riding modes “Dynamic” and “Dynamic Pro” (configurable), Dynamic Traction Control DTC, and the riding modes “Enduro” and “Enduro Pro” on the R 1250 GS Adventure (configurable).
When it comes to banking, DTC allows for even more efficient and secure acceleration. Even in a banking position, ABS Pro provides even more braking safety. By preventing unintended accelerator activation, the new Dynamic Brake Control DBC delivers further protection while braking, even in harsh conditions.
Drive torque is lowered during braking by engine management intervention to use the braking force at the rear wheel fully. It stabilizes the motorbike and reduces braking distance.
LED headlamps are standard on the R 1250 RS and R 1250 GS Adventure, while LED daytime riding lights are available as an ex-works option on all three models.
A LED headlight is now standard on the new R 1250 RS and R 1250 GS Adventure. Furthermore, for the R 1250 RS and R 1250 GS Adventure, as well as the BMW 2020 R1250R Powerful Roadster with halogen headlights, the LED daytime riding light is offered as an optional equipment item.
Electronics
Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” electronic suspension with completely automated load adaptation as an option.
With an optional equipment item, BMW Motorrad Dynamic ESA “Next Generation,” the damping adjusts to the circumstances based on the rider’s condition and maneuvers. Automatic compensation is available in all load states.
It enables the motorbike to be accurately tailored to ride conditions, resulting in optimal damping comfort and a highly steady ride response.
Connectivity: A multifunctional instrument cluster with a 6.5-inch full-color TFT display comes standard with many capabilities.
The three new boxer models now have Connectivity as standard equipment, as well as a 6.5-inch full-color TFT screen. When combined with the classic BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller, the rider may quickly and easily access vehicle and connection features.
Intelligent Emergency Call as an ex-works option. People’s lives may be saved by ensuring the earliest possible aid in the case of an accident or circumstances of urgency and danger. Intelligent Emergency Call is an optional piece of equipment that sends help to the situation as promptly as feasible.
BMW Motorrad Spezial
BMW Motorrad Spezial is a collection of classic customizing elements that improve performance and value and are available as factory-installed options. The emphasis is on seamless integration throughout the vehicle, the use of the highest-quality materials, meticulous handwork, and unmistakable attention to detail.
Option 719 Classic and HP billet packs, for example, are available for the new boxer versions.
