The newly launched 2017 YZF-R1S Yamaha Powerful Sports Bike comes with the powerful 998 ccs of in-line, 4-cylinder, cross-plane crankshaft engine containing the steel fracture split connecting rods and the new lightweight forged pistons. This race proven engine delivers the high horsepower and the strong pulse of linear torque. The new 6-speed transmission is specially designed to match the supply of engine. The transmission features an input/output shafts to centralize the mass and to keep the engine much shorter from front to back. It results in the optimization of engine placement in the frame for superior weight balance. The new rocker-arm valve actuation uses the new arm’s lever ratio to allow for the large valve lift while using the lower cam lobes plus it reduces the spring pressure.
