The new 2017 Yamaha VMAX Sport Heritage Bike comes with the powerful 1679cc 65-degree engine. It is the liquid-cooled engine with fuel-injected four-valves-per-cylinder. The new Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) switches having the intake funnels of 150 mm and 54 mm for ideal performance at any RPM. The new Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) is the fly-by-wire system delivers finest acceleration in all conditions. This engine uses the four-valve technology with the high compression ratio of 11.3:1. The forged aluminum piston and the new NGK Iridium spark plugs with the R1-type direct the ignition coils to extract the max horsepower from the fuel charge. It features the controlled-fill die-cast and extruded aluminum rear frame and a new cast aluminum swingarm. The new cartridge-damper-type front forks contain the 52 mm of inner tubes with an oxidized titanium coating. These forks features both compression and a rebound damping adjustability plus spring preload. The new link-type motocross rear suspension has a remote reservoir. It features the compression and rebound clickers plus the remote preload adjustment. The new 2017 Yamaha VMAX Sport Heritage Bike features the class-leading brakes that use the BREMBO master cylinders and the front with the radial-pump master cylinder. Its braking system composed up of large 320 mm of wave-style dual front discs. They are matched to radial-mount monobloc 6-piston calipers. The rear wheel has a wave design disc of 298 mm and a single-piston caliper. This new high-tech braking system also incorporates the advanced ABS.
