The 2023 Kawasaki KLX140R L Dirt Motorcycle features larger wheels, a higher seat height, and a more performance-oriented suspension system; the KLX140R F uses full-sized wheels and a frame so that taller riders can comfortably join in on the fun on the trails. The KLX140R L is more geared towards children, has the most miniature wheels, and has the lowest seat height.
The KLX140R motorbike comes in three model versions and is designed to provide an off-road adventure that will leave you with lifelong memories. The potent 144cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine has an electronic starter and keyless ignition. It is a four-stroke engine. Its wide, smooth, high-revving 144cc engine feels efficient and user-friendly thanks to a manual clutch and five-speed gearbox. The mid-sized 2023 Kawasaki KLX140R L Dirt Motorcycle has 19″ front and 16″ rear wheels to suit taller riders and provide more ground clearance than the KLX140R, which has 17″ front and 14″ rear wheels. The KLX140R F has full-size off-road wheels and tires, with an 18″ rear and a 21″ front.
Motorcycles like the KLX140R are a great way to start riding off-road because of their safe handling. Trailblazers will love the 144cc engine, comfortable suspension, and push-button electric start of the easy-to-ride KLX140R range.
To introduce the entire family to off-road riding, Kawasaki provides the KLX140R model line.
2023 Kawasaki KLX140R L Dirt Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Box-Section Perimeter Frame (KP)
Off-road capabilities are improved by the high-tensile steel perimeter frame based on the KX. Better control is achieved by grasping the frame with boots on the flat footpeg/frame rail connection.
Electric Starter
The handlebars include a keyless start button that makes starting fast and simple.
U.S. Forest Service-Approved Spark Arrester
By incorporating a spark arrester certified by the US Forest Service, the silencer ensures silent operation and permits access to specified public riding areas.
Close-Ratio 5-Speed Transmission
The closer gear ratios help the engine accelerate more quickly.
Progressive Manual Clutch on the KLX 140R L/R F
The KLX 140R L/R F has a two-stage clutch engagement progressive manual clutch with a spring damper. This design makes partial clutch usage at very low rpm or idling rates easier.
High-Level Suspension
The solid structure is complemented by robust front and rear suspension. Every KLX140R model has different spring rates and dampening settings for the 33mm front forks. Preload on the KLX140R rear shock may be adjusted in five ways. With an aluminum shock body and reservoir, the KLX140R L/R F is built for more aggressive riding. It has a piggyback pool, threaded preload, 4-way compression, and 22-way rebound damping settings. The KLX140R is compatible with the updated shock.
Full-Sized Wheels (KLX140R F)
Full-sized wheels are fitted on the KLX140R F to improve tractability and handling over uneven terrain. The bigger wheels also provide the bike with more ground clearance, which helps it go over hazards on the path. The proportions of the chassis are optimized for these bigger wheels.
Petal Disc Brakes
The KLX140R models provide better braking performance since they have disc brakes on both the front and back, unlike many play bikes with drum/disc combination brakes. The petal disc design improves cooling efficiency and lowers unsprung weight, which all help to provide more effective braking.
Race-Inspired Ergonomics
Handlebar clamps with rubber mountings lessen the vibration that reaches the rider’s hands. The top triple clamp’s separation from the handlebar clamps makes installing replacement handlebars simpler. Half-waffle KX-style handle grips enhance grip and rider control. The dual-texture seat cover has smooth sides for superior movement and a top surface that resists slippage for improved grip when sitting.
