There has been an announcement of a new relationship between Norton and Mental Health Motorbike, which will involve mental health education for Norton staff.
The charity Mental Health Motorbike and the British motorbike brand Norton have established a new relationship.
As part of the new relationship, Norton will donate money to Mental Health Motorbike (MHM), but possibly even more significantly, the company will send staff members to training to become mental health first responders.
The first batch of 16 Norton workers who will get this training will also be expected to attend MHM events.
Norton also claims it will “form a committee dedicated to supporting the company’s employees, as well as the wider biking community,” in addition to the neighborhood around its Solihull headquarters.
Norton is devoted to supporting its workers both within and outside the office, as well as the larger motorcycle community that many of them are a part of, according to Rob Ridgway, head of HR at Norton Motorcycles. Another way we can make sure they get the assistance they need and are prepared to assist those in need is by partnering with Mental Health Motorbike.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Norton Motorcycles, helping to increase the mental health support available to their employees and the larger community,” said Paul Oxborough, the organization’s founder. Since this is the first time Mental Health Motorbike has collaborated directly with a motorbike manufacturer, it is a significant turning point in the nonprofit organization’s history.
