2023 KTM 250 SX-F Off-Road Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Serviceability
The 2023 KTM SX and SX-F models include easily accessible suspension adjustment and serviceable components. It also makes motocross more approachable for beginning riders without pit attendants since track-side and off-season maintenance can be completed more quickly better than the previous model i.e. 2022 KTM 250 SX-F.
Airbox
The new air filter box is built with strategically placed intake ducts to avoid air distortion and keep the filter undamaged while allowing for optimum airflow. The new Twin Air filter and an all-new air filter support design incorporates a simple fail-proof mounting method for safe and precise filter installation, allowing tool-free access to the air filter for convenient track-side maintenance. All SX and SX-F models have a vented air filter box cover in the by-pack.
Easy Suspension Adjustment
Be precise! The front and rear suspension of the 2023 KTM SX models are adjustable without the need for any tools. Thanks to a brand-new shock absorber design with hand-adjustable dual compression control, riders may quickly and easily switch between high- and low-speed settings. The front forks include a single air pressure preload valve and click adjustments for both compression and rebound that are conveniently located and simple to use. The air pump is included free of charge.
More Usable Power
The uncontested performance leader in the 250 cc 4-stroke class, this mid-weight powerhouse tips the scales at only 57.5 lb. yet produces a surprising payload of explosive horsepower. The 2023 KTM 250 SX-F engine has been meticulously engineered and calibrated to maximize performance and handling. More power is delivered in the midrange and at the high end.
Turn on the Launch Control and Quick Shifter! The 2023 KTM SX-F lineup is optimized for a quick start, with features like launch control and a new Quick shifter function allowing clutchless upshifts. Launch control may be used by simultaneously pushing the traction control and Quick shifter buttons, and it improves traction and prevents loss of control during heavy acceleration by restricting power to the rear wheel. Meanwhile, the Quick shifter feature allows you to effortlessly go from second to fifth gear without taking your eyes off the road.
Selectable Maps + TC
To provide better operation while choosing between 2 engine maps, the map select switch on 2023 KTM SX models has been simplified. Map 1 has a more linear strength curve: the aggressive throttle and explosive power of map 2 pack a severe blow. Maximum traction and a significant advantage in slippery or muddy situations are readily achieved thanks to Traction control, which can be turned on and off with a single switch.

Calm under Fire Performance
The front sprocket of the 2023 KTM 250 SX-F is 3 mm lower due to the engine’s 2° rearward tilt. The engine is also 8 mm shorter. It results in a significant reduction in total bulk and enhanced handling and anti-squat behavior.
Ergonomics
The rider triangle on the 2023 KTM SX and SX-F models has been redesigned from the ground up to provide better knee contact, mainly while using the pegs, and enhanced grip. A revised, flatter seat profile and high grip seat cover allow for excellent rider mobility and control, while new polymers help to expel mud accumulation in wet, muddy situations. The aluminum subframe is strengthened with polyamide, significantly improving the rider’s connection to the bike.
Absolute Control
An all-new frame design is built for longitudinal stiffness and repositioning rotational mass closer to the center of gravity, allowing you to maintain complete control no matter how rough the track becomes. The mounting location of the foot pegs has been shifted inward to reduce the chance of hooking up in deep ruts or while scrubbing jumps. A redesigned shock mounting improves anti-squat behavior for more excellent traction out of corners.
Hit the Big Stuff Stability
With its redesigned and forged steering head connection and CNC machined triple clamps, the 2023 KTM 250 SX-F is very stable at high speeds. These are made of high-quality aluminum, and their fast and smooth fork action, as well as their rock-solid stability as you charge past ruts and onto the podium, are the result of finely calibrated steering stem stiffness, flawless alignment of the fork tubes, and accurate geometry of the fork clamps.
WP XACT Fork
The WP XACT split damping function air-type front fork gives you the confidence to take on the track at full speed. When confronting large jumps, bumps, and thumps, the new hydro stops in the fork legs increase bottoming-out resistance and account for a reduced rebound. The improved reliability and awesomeness of the redesigned fork protection rings are due in no little part to their increased resistance to dirt.
Mass Centralization
Are you prepared to yank your shoulders from their articulations? The anti-squat behavior of the chassis is much enhanced by rethinking the steel frame idea, which also brings the advantages of mass centralization and a generally lighter feel. When accelerating quickly out of turn, the 2023 KTM 250 SX-F flawlessly transmits its power to the ground.
Consistency
Featuring low-friction SKF linkage seals and enhanced damping characteristics for superior traction and energy absorption, the new WP XACT shock absorber delivers unrivaled consistency lap after lap.
Energy absorption
The frame is hydro-formed, laser cut, and robot-welded by experts. It has carefully calculated longitudinal and torsional flex values to provide excellent rider input and straight-line stability. The frame is a “shock absorber,” softening the blows and reducing rider fatigue throughout several long circuits.
Ground clearance
The 2023 KTM 250 SX-F has an all-new frame, shock absorber geometry, and topology-optimized die-cast foot pegs that reduce the likelihood of hooking in deep ruts and during takeoffs while scrubbing.
