Precision fuel/air mixing is assured by the 38mm sophisticated Hitachi Astemo® Keihin PWK38S carburetor, resulting in lightning-fast throttle response. The YZ250 provides an exhilarating and secure ride thanks to its race-developed intake and smooth-shifting five-speed gearbox. The high-capacity radiator and digital CDI system further improve economy and power throughout the RPM range.
Chassis/Suspension
The 270mm front rotor, 240mm rear rotor, sturdy calipers, and massive pistons that comprise the YZ250’s high-performance braking system provide outstanding braking power and pinpoint control. Superb handling, excellent bump absorption, and a full 11.8 inches of suspension travel are also offered by the state-of-the-art KYB® 48mm forks equipped with the Speed-Sensitive System.
The 12.4 inches of travel and fully adjustable KYB® shock with reduced-friction Kashima CoatTM internals provide superb rear-wheel control and a smooth, pleasant ride. The YZ250’s lightweight, detachable aluminum rear subframe, precisely constructed aluminum frame, and swing arm contribute to its excellent handling.
In addition to its race-ready Dunlop® Goma MX33 tires, the YZ250 is equipped with robust, premium-looking Excel® rims measuring 21 inches in the front and 19 inches in the back. These tires provide exceptional performance throughout a wide variety of terrains.
