Alpinestars Celebrates 60th Anniversary with Keanu Reeves

This weekend marks the continuation of Alpine Stars’ 60th anniversary festivities with the publication of a short video featuring Keanu Reeves as the narrator.

You may have seen in the last few days that riders sponsored by Alpine stars have been wearing identical or very identical riding apparel.

Jorge Martin used a unique boot design at the MotoGP Indian Grand Prix last weekend. This pattern was the same one Axel Bassani wore the same weekend at the WorldSBK round in Aragon. The same weekend, Jett Lawrence of California won the inaugural 450 Super Motocross World Championship title at the LA Coliseum. At the same time, Jeremy Seewer, Glenn Coldenhoff, and Maxime Renaux, the factory Yamaha MXGP team, all wore matching red-and-white outfits at the season-ending MXGP of Great Britain at Matterley Basin.

The celebration of Alpine Stars’ 60th anniversary is the cause of the cooperation among so many of its athletes—a list that goes far beyond those named above.

The WorldSBK is in the Algarve, MotoGP is in Japan, and MXGP and SMX are over. This weekend, one week later, Alpine Stars is celebrating by releasing a unique video called “One Goal. One Vision,” which is narrated by Hollywood actor and all-around bike enthusiast Keanu Reeves.

According to an Alpine Stars news release, the movie aims to highlight “Alpine stars’ unparalleled presence in all forms of motorsport, as well as cycling and action sports.” “The short film honors the winners, athletes, and teams who have inspired us to continuously push the envelope of what is possible throughout our 60-year history in a well-deserved manner.”

The 2023 collection from Alpine stars also included references to 1963, when the company was founded. One such example is a red motocross jersey with the large number “63” displayed on the chest. Naturally, Francesco Bagnaia, the factory Ducati racer and 2022 MotoGP World Champion, was drawn to this specific design. His regular number is #63, not the #1 he is racing this year. Surprisingly, Bagnaia’s bike with Lamborghini branding helped him win the 2022 MotoGP championship. The year the Italian automaker and Alpine Stars were established was the same.
