The Kawasaki W retro classic series is entirely based on the spirit of the 1960s, with the class’s well-known original design, sound, and feel. The current W800 bikes are an authentic tribute to the famous Kawasaki W1, designed to pay homage to the past with recent technology and features in mind. The W800 is the youngest member of the 50-year-old Kawasaki W family to have an engineering handicraft degree and pays close attention to the details that can be found on very few bikes. Evolution of Japan’s Original Big Bike
For 2022, the Kawasaki W800 is back in the retro classic motorcycle range of Kawasaki Motors Corporation, USA. It is a direct descendant of the legendary Kawasaki W1 of the 1960s.
The goal was to give the category of vintage classic motorbikes a class-leading authentic design, sound, and feel. Kawasaki worked hard to create a genuinely original throwback bike in terms of style and design, respecting the past and combining the latest technology and amenities with taste in the W800.
An air-cooled 773cc vertical twin engine powers the W800. It features a state-of-the-art dual-cradle frame design and advanced suspension components that bring an unparalleled level of legitimacy and performance to the retro bike category. It was designed especially for those riders looking for an ultimate bike that is not only rich in character and history but also full of advanced technology.
Assist and Slipper Clutch
Based on racing action data, Assist and Sleeper Clutch combines two unique types of cams to hold both the clutch hub and operation plate together or apart.
An all-new assist cam is a self-serving mechanism in regular operation, thus pulling the operating plate and clutch hub together and compressing the clutch plates. It decreases the load of the clutch spring, resulting in a lighter clutch lever action when using the clutch.
Sound Tuning
Kawasaki has long been known for producing bikes with excellent sound – a feature incorporated into Kawasaki’s engine architecture. Still, it has only recently been the case that Focuses on creating a unique listening experience.
Carefully crafted audio notes, designed so riders can enjoy their bikes physically, can be an essential component of road riding excitement towards these models—those who have benefited from sound tuning.
Kawasaki ABS
The Kawasaki ABS use front and rear wheel sensors to monitor wheel speed continuously. If any sensor indicates that the wheel is locked, the ABS ECU instructs the pump of the ABS unit to apply the brake fluid pressure (releasing and re-applying pressure as needed to restore traction). Replace until return to regular operation. ABS provides riders confidence, which increases ride satisfaction.
