2022 Kawasaki Z650 Urban Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Clean Emissions
To meet Euro4 emissions requirements, several adjustments were made to the intake and exhaust system components, resulting in increased intermediate torque while preserving the strength of the previous model.
Newer tires provide better handling
The new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 assists in tire handling.
Passenger comfort has improved
Increased passenger comfort is provided by thick urethane (approximately 5 mm thick in the center, 10 mm thick on the sides) and wide sides through the rear seat.
Color TFT devices
The new all-digital TFT color instrumentation, the first for Kawasaki in the 650cc class, gives the cockpit a high-tech, sophisticated look. The new meter also has capabilities that were not accessible to the previous model.
Bright sheet for headlamp
With a two-piece design (unlike the three-piece Z900 cowl) that sets the color components high to create a lighter image, the headlamp cowl is crisp and more compact. The Sugomi design is enhanced with a strong chin spoiler, modified meter cover, and forward tilting lines.
Kawasaki Begins Early Production of 2022 Street Motorcycles
In 2021, new and experienced riders alike turned to motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-side and personal watercraft, leading to a huge increase in the popularity of the power sports sector. Kawasaki is accelerating the production and introduction of selected model year 2022 motorcycles to meet the growing demand. Kawasaki has set the SuperSport, Sport, Nude, and Cruiser models available at Kawasaki dealerships during the summer months, allowing more riders to “Let the Good Times Roll.”
Assist & Slipper Clutch
The Assist & Sleeper Clutch combines two types of cams (an assist cam and a sleeper cam) to hold the clutch hub and the operation plate together or separately, based on racing action data.
The assist cam acts as a self-serving mechanism in normal operation, pulling the clutch hub and operating plate together and compressing the clutch plates. It reduces the overall load of the clutch spring, resulting in a lighter clutch lever when using the clutch.
Dual Throttle Valves
To produce a high power level, the late model sports motorcycles sometimes feature large bored throttle bodies. When a rider rapidly opens the throttle on a large diameter throttle, however, unlimited torque response can be significant. Dual throttle valve technology was developed to improve engine performance while reducing engine response.
Models with dual throttle valves have two throttle valves per cylinder: in addition to the primary valves, which are physically connected to the throttle grip and monitored by the rider, the new ECU opens and shuts the second set of valves which Intake controls airflow accurately. To ensure a natural, linear response.
Economical Riding Indicator
The device continuously analyzes fuel usage regardless of vehicle speed, engine speed, throttle position, or other riding conditions. An “ECO” indicator appears on the instrument panel’s LCD screen when the fuel consumption for a particular speed is low (i.e., the fuel efficiency is high). Fuel consumption can be reduced by riding with the “ECO” signal on.
Although the effective speed of the vehicle and the engine speed varies depending on the model, riders can increase their fuel efficiency by paying attention to the conditions that cause the “ECO” signal to appear – to increase the cruising range. A useful strategy for Furthermore, reducing the use of gasoline reduces the negative impact on the environment.
