BMW Motorrad has unveiled the updated 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle with a boxer engine for 2023. The main parts of the motorbike are unaltered, while alterations are made to help the rider electronically. They are less interested in upheaval and more in incremental change.
2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Dynamic Traction Control
Dynamic Traction Control is now standard on the 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle for increased road safety. Before this change, DTC was an optional $3,175 upgrade for the Premium tier. It’s a nice bonus that all riders may appreciate.

Riding Modes
A brand-new ECO mode designed to improve mileage and gas mileage. Merges the existing Road and Rain settings. The TFT dashboard displays an efficiency reading to monitor actual consumption in real-time, and the throttle response and torque have been softened for better fuel economy.
Latest Electronics
BMW Integral ABS Pro is included as standard equipment on the new 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle to enhance braking safety further. In addition, the innovative new Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) technology mitigates panic braking by decreasing driving torque.
BMW’s Riding Modes Pro package is an add-on to the Premium package that allows for personalized configuration of the vehicle’s riding modes. In addition, the Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) is tunable so that the engine brake settings may be tailored to the vehicle’s off-throttle deceleration characteristics. This feature can be utilized in tandem with the upgraded ABS.
Color Options
The additional extras that may be purchased are the Style Triple Black and the Style Sport Light White/Racing Blue/Racing Red paint jobs. Both have a single seat and a frame in one of two colors, with front and rear brake calipers in shiny gold.
The passenger pegs and grab handles on the Triple Black have been removed and replaced with a stylish cover. Spoked wheels, style 719, are also available as an option.
USB socket, seat heating, and tubular handlebars
The essential equipment of the 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle consists of not one but two different power outlets: a 12-volt onboard power socket and a second USB-A connector with a 5-volt power supply. You may charge a smartphone on the go by plugging a cable adapter into this new ubiquitous USB port. The maximum charging current is 2,400 mA.
An optional seat heating system is a welcome addition in colder locations for the rider and the passenger. Heated seats are an option, although they may only be bought with heated grips for two people.
There is a new, user-friendly control system with five different heat levels for the rider’s seat. When added to the seat heating, the heated grips double the available temperatures to five. The passenger seat’s heating, which has two levels, is controlled via a toggle button on the seat’s bottom right.
Tubular handlebars are not just a unique design choice but an official BMW Motorrad accessory. The tubular handlebars are narrower and higher than standard handlebars and have a shorter reach.
In addition to the several available seats, the 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle now allows riders to tailor the ergonomics of the handlebars to their preferences, allowing for a more relaxed and upright riding position.
2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle – Price
Despite these new features, the base MSRP of a 2023 BMW R 1250 RS Sports Motorcycle finished in Light White will still be $15,695. BMW claims bicycles will be available this spring.
