2023 KingQuad 400FSi Camo Utility ATV Review Specs

In 1983, Suzuki introduced the globe to the first-ever 4-wheel ATV. These days, Suzuki all-terrain vehicles are easy to find. Even in remote areas and while doing routine tasks, the KingQuad will urge its rider ahead. In general, the King Quad line of ATVs is among the best on the market. The 2023 KingQuad 400FSi Camo Utility ATV has a five-speed manual transmission and a semi-automatic clutch for riders who want a more athletic ride. It’s high torque and broad power range make it a formidable tool on the job site or backcountry. Fuel efficiency, emissions, and performance are all greatly improved by the combination of a state-of-the-art Pulsed-secondary-AIR-injection (PAIR) system with a high-performance iridium spark plug.

2023 KingQuad 400FSi Camo Utility ATV – Features and Specs

Key Features

Powerful and economical 4-stroke fuel-injected engine. Durable manual transmission with a partially automated clutch. You may switch between 2WD and 4WD using a lever on the steering wheel. The spacious gas tank and supportive seat allow for extended trips. Outdoor usage is guaranteed by full racks and durable bodywork finished in True Timber Kanati camouflage.

Engine Features

The KingQuad 400FSi’s 376cc four-stroke, fuel-injected, four-valve engine provides enough power and handling. Regarding cold starting and power delivery, Suzuki’s fuel injection technology is unrivaled in the industry. The technology uses 3D maps for optimal ignition, leading to efficient and low-impact operation. When hauling big loads or working hard, the engine temperature may rise quickly. The Suzuki Advanced Cooling System (SACS) uses an oil cooler and a cooling fan with a thermostat to keep things cool. Start-in-gear functionality of push-button electric starting allows starting without shifting into neutral when the rear brake is applied (under certain conditions).

In loose or slippery conditions, the Engine Control Unit’s (ECU) slip control circuitry adjusts fuel injector timing and duration to improve driveability and grip. Iridium spark plugs are very effective, leading to enhanced combustion, reduced emissions, and extended service life. In addition, cold-weather engine starting performance is improved. The ATV’s Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system and catalyst-equipped exhaust system enable it to exceed pollution regulations while maintaining a high degree of performance, allowing it to be registered in California with a red ticket.

Transmission Features

Thanks to the five-speed transmission with a semi-automatic clutch and reverse, the rider can choose the gear that optimizes grip and fuel efficiency. You may switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive by using a lever on the steering wheel. The shaft drive mechanism requires little in the way of maintenance and is both trustworthy and durable. In 4WD mode, the torque-sensing limited-slip front differential ensures maximum traction and easy steering. Sub-transmission may be switched between high and low for maximum adaptability. A gearshift gate allows you to choose high, low, neutral, and reverse gears with ease. With the ECU’s Reverse Mode, which monitors vehicle speed, you may use higher engine rpm while pulling out sloppy terrains like mud or loose soil.

Chassis Features

The True Timber Kanati camouflage pattern adorns the high-clearance fenders of the sports bodywork, making it fit for use in the great outdoors. The T-shaped seat of a Suzuki allows the rider more flexibility whether engaged in sport riding or traversing rough terrain. Plus, it’s plush, so you can relax and enjoy the ride. Since its total length is less than 82 inches (208 cm), the King Quad may be carried conveniently in the back of a 6.5-foot truck. The independent front A-arm suspension provides smooth performance and high ground clearance, with 6.7 inches (170.1 mm) of wheel travel.

The 6.7 inches (170.1 mm) of wheel travel and twin shock absorbers on the swing-arm rear suspension contribute to the vehicle’s agile handling and plush ride quality. Dual hydraulic disc brakes up front include massive calipers with 34mm pistons and large brake pad surfaces for superior stopping power and remarkable durability. 25-inch Carlisle tires with aggressive tread give a quiet, pleasant ride on hard-packed trails while maintaining steady traction on slippery sections. Tires are mounted on sturdy steel wheels treated to a durable matte black powder finish. Skid plates made of plastic are easy to transport, strong enough to withstand punishment from the track and smooth enough to allow items to glide effortlessly beneath them.

Utility Features

Dual 35-watt headlights including high and low settings, complement the unconventional KingQuad grille design. The ATV is more visible at night thanks to its bright tail light. The ATV’s heavy-duty front and rear luggage racks allow you to take advantage of its spacious cargo hold. The wrinkle paint on the shelves and bumper is durable and resistant to scratches. The LCD gauges show the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, hours, clock, fuel level, and indicators for reverse, neutral, oil, and FI (fuel injection). There is a DC power outlet, car-style, on the front fender. Wire conduit and Winch-ready mounts simplify the process of installing a winch. The large 4.2-gallon (16.0-liter) petrol tank allows for much travel time. The raised footpegs integrated into the flooring are an added safety feature.

Special Features

The 12-month warranty is on parts alone. The benefits of Suzuki’s standard warranty are supplemented by those of Suzuki Extended Protection (SEP). Some Suzuki Genuine Accessories include winches, windshields, front and rear bumpers, snowplows, aluminum skid pans, rack extensions, utility boxes, and more.
