The BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers is the pinnacle of high-performance, luxury touring, and cruising, and it has been a mainstay of BMW’s motorbike lineup ever since the first model debuted in 2010. The K 1600 GT is the sportier, more dynamic six-cylinder model, while the K 1600 GTL is optimized for long rides thanks to its plusher ergonomics and standard top case.
The K 1600 B is a low-slung bagger with a “streamliner” design and the motto “The Spirit of the Open Road.” It’s the epitome of style, strength, and luxury on two wheels, opening the world to the rider. The new BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers, an offshoot of the BMW K 1600 B, combines the better performance of a six-cylinder in-line engine with exceptional technology to provide a touring experience that is as relaxing as it is thrilling.
New engine management, knock sensor system, emissions, and engine drag torque control for the six-cylinder in-line engine. The new BMW K 1600 GT, GTL, B, and BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers are powered by the world’s lightest and slimmest six-cylinder in-line engine at 21.9 inches wide and 226 pounds. It still features the same 1,649cc displacement as before. Its engine offers the latest six-cylinder models, including unmatched touring qualities and more outstanding riding capabilities, as well as highly advanced performance levels.
An all-new six-cylinder engine used in the new BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers has been updated to conform to strict EU-5 standards. The technological objective of the changes in the application of BMS engine control entails using two unique knock sensors and two distinct lambda probes. Cylinders 2 and 5 come with knock sensors on the back of the cylinder bank, enabling accurate ignition timing.
The powerful six-cylinder engine’s power and torque have seen substantial enhancements in addition to significant reductions in emissions. At 6,750 rpm, the engine harvests 160 horsepower, 1000rpm earlier than formerly. At 5,250 rpm, the maximum torque rises from 129 lb-ft to 133 lb-ft. The acceleration enhancement is most noticeable between 3,500 rpm and 7,000 rpm, where most riding happens.
BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers – Features
Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” electronic suspension, including fully automatic load compensation
BMW Motorrad’s new BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers comes with Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) that automatically adjusts the suspension’s damping based on different road conditions and the rider’s preferences. The system features built-in functionality for compensating for variable loads.
The BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers may be fine-tuned to the rider’s favorites using inputs from the rear and front sensors, as well as the brand-new six-axis sensor box. An all-new spring compression, deceleration, and acceleration of the rider are all recorded and applied to rectify the Duolever front and rear suspension’s damping forces. In milliseconds, these alterations are accomplished through control valves powered by electricity. Peak damping comfort and stability are achieved even when the user is two-faced on their stomach.
The brand-new Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” is genuine and factory-set to “Road” damping characteristics for the “Rain” and “Road” riding modes. The rider may choose the rigid “Dynamic” damping qualities for these modes by simply pushing a button on the handlebar. The “Dynamic” riding mode evasions to the stiffer “Dynamic” damping setting, although switching to the “Road” setting is easy with a single button to click.
New full LED adaptive headlight for outstanding illumination of the road.
BMW Motorrad has been a pioneer for decades in terms of motorcycle safety. Accordingly, the new K 1600 GT, GTL, B, and Grand America provide LED lighting as standard. The new full LED headlight illuminates the road with a bright, clear light and consists of an LED module with nine LEDs for the low-beam headlight and four more LED modules with two LEDs for the two high-beam headlight modules.
Low-beam LED headlights that pivot into the curve at the appropriate heel angle are part of the primary “adaptive headlamp” function. As the light is traveling in the same direction as the K 1600, it nearly wholly illuminates the curved path. The light’s horizon stays fixed and is effortlessly adjusted to the tilted position thanks to a rotating function that has been increased to 35° (from 24°). In addition, the whole headlamp assembly may be turned up or down by 2 degrees to maintain optimal lighting during acceleration and braking.
New “Welcome,” “Goodbye,” and “Follow me home” light functions.
The new BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers with six cylinders are more comfortable and convenient than ever, thanks to additional lighting features. For instance, some vehicles include a “welcome light” feature when the ignition is turned on. The front and back lights stay on for a few seconds before fading to the waiting state, and the engine starts. At specific points throughout the procedure, the transitions are muted.
When the key is removed from the cruiser’s ignition, the “Goodbye” feature temporarily turns on the headlight and taillight of the BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers to illuminate the area surrounding the cruiser.
After turning off Grand America’s engine, the “Follow me home” standard feature enables the rider temporarily turn on the high beams with a gentle push of the button once. The engine and other systems not linked to navigation and illumination are disabled. At night, when parking or unlocking a garage door is required, this lighting feature is priceless.
Audio system 2.0
The new BMW 2023 K 1600 Grand America Option 719 Midnight Cruisers have a high-quality audio system 2.0 as standard. One notable improvement in the new audio system 2.0 is the incorporation of the radio antennae into the exterior design. The brand-new audio system 2.0 is included in the bike’s electrical system, replacing a previously separate audio component. The distinctive display displays and user-friendly menus provide a pleasant listening experience.
