2022 Kawasaki KX450SR Dirt Motorcycle Review Specs Price

With the new production 2022 Kawasaki KX450SR Dirt Motorcycle, Kawasaki has brought its rich motocross racing tradition closer to consumers. Kawasaki’s XSR motorcycles include racing-manufactured “exclusive racer” parts that were accessible only to the factory racing team, which included high-end motocross and supercross throughout Kawasaki’s factory. The new production KXTM450SR aims to look similar to the KX450SR made by Monster Energy Kawasaki in the 2021 season. It is the first time Kawasaki has applied this purest blood philosophy into production. Enthusiastic motocross racer Monster Energy is better equipped to compete and win the KX450SR using key high-value components proven by the Kawasaki Race Squad.

The Bike That Builds Champions

The Kawasaki KXTM450 has long been the flagship model in the Kawasaki KXTM motorbike series and is equipped with race-winning components to help Kawasaki riders reach the top of the podium. Kawasaki unveiled the new 2022 KXTM450SR, based on the company’s decades-old winning tradition. The system called “SR” or Special Racer, formerly primarily for early Kawasaki factory racing machines now marks the rise of Kawasaki race bikes. Monster Energy® Kawasaki Race Squad designs the new KX450SR to exploit the proven high-priced parts in the Monster Energy Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross Championships.

2022 Kawasaki KX450SR Dirt Motorcycle

The Monster Energy Kawasaki race team provided direct input for the 449cc lightweight engine package. The KX450SR engine, like the KX450, is an electronic start that operates with a button and is powered by a small lithium-ion battery. Kawasaki’s state-of-the-art racing technology and World Superbike specialists cooperated on a lightweight fingerprint valve activation mechanism that helped larger diameter valves and more aggressive cam profiles. The newly polished intake ports on the KX450SR help improve engine performance by providing smoother airflow.

An all-new lightweight Pro Circuit Ti-6 Pro Titanium Race Exhaust is installed, just like the Monser Energy® Kawasaki factory race team, and enhances the engine’s performance. Exclusive, new engine ECU fuel injection settings on the KX450SR complement the features of the more powerful engine, enabling controllability and factory-spec high-performance riding for a wide range of motor cross-riders.

Chassis

When riding at high speeds, a slim aluminum frame allows accurate front-end turns including excellent feel and agility. The lightweight frame comprises forged, extruded, and cast components; the engine acts as a weight member and pays to the frame’s rigidity.

Suspension

The KX450SR comes with brand new KYB front and rear suspension components and DLC (diamond-like coating) on fork tubes to reduce scratches and gauges caused by dirt, mud, pebbles and roast in thick cross environments. Help me. It also reduces friction, allowing unique KX450SR settings for better performance, smoother suspension movement, and comfortable riding. Inside the fork’s outer tubes, a Kashima coat creates a robust and low-friction surface to help reduce wear friction and keep sliding surfaces smooth for longer.

Due to the wide diameter of the inner fork tubes, large 25mm damping pistons can be used to create a damping solid force with low internal pressure, resulting in more robust gaming performance and increased ride comfort. The rear shock has dual compression adjustment, which allows for separate tuning of high and low-speed damping. The 22mm front axle was developed with input from Kawasaki factory race teams to improve gloss and traction. Linkage ratios for the new Uni-Trak rear suspension have been chosen to complement the chassis.

Brakes & Wheels

NEW Renthal® rear sprocket D.I.D. DirtStar wheels are new on the KX450SR, which adds strength and durability in the most critical racing situations. The black cover of the code gives them the shape of a factory race car. The championship proved to be a combination of a new D.I.D. The 520ERT3 gold chain attached to the Black Renthal Ultralight TM Aluminum Rear Sprocket adds to the charming look of the KX450SR.

Ergonomics

Kawasaki is committed to providing riders with the best-in-class ERGO-Accommodate® customized components that fit a wide range of riders and riding styles. Footpieces have two mounting positions, with a lower setting reducing the standard set by up to 5 mm, reducing the knee angle when sitting on tall riders.

Styling

The KX450SR features distinctive colors and graphics that mimic the colors seen on the Monster Energy Kawasaki race team, in addition to the KX450’s current sharp, aggressive look. A Hinson Billetproof® clutch cover with Kawasaki racing team mark that increases heat dissipation, as well as Pro Circuit Ti-6 Pro Titanium exhaust with a unique green decal, are all new and increase the visibility of its authentic race machine.

Ergo-Fit

For the rider’s ultimate comfort and control, proper fit is essential. However, depending on his physical appearance and riding style, the flawless fit differs from rider to rider.

The new ERGO-FIT is an all-time advanced riding positioning interface device that allows cyclists to discover their best riding beam. A mix of interchangeable components and parts, including changeable locations can be used to adapt to altered points of the chassis interface. It allows a wide range of cyclists to choose comfortable and controlled rides. They will experience how exciting and satisfying it is for Kawasaki bikes to feel together with their machine.
