2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs
Unique Key Features
- Dual Direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS).
- Integrated Riding Modes
- TFT Color Instrumentation with Smartphone Connectivity
- Ninja Styling Electronic
- Throttle Valves with Cruise.
Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRC) (KP)
The 3-mode system adapts to a variety of riding conditions, either providing better sports rides or providing rider confidence by allowing smooth rides on smooth surfaces.
The S-KTRC, which uses state-of-the-art analysis to predict when traction conditions are likely unfavorable and respond before the wheel slippage exceeds the ideal traction threshold, is controlled via modes 1 and 2. Goes Mode 3 adjusts the ignition timing, fuel and air for the Ultra. – Smooth operation and high sensitivity.
Integrated Riding Modes
Sport, Road, Rain, Rider (manual)
Riders can change the traction control, power delivery, and suspension character according to the specific riding environment, using all the comprehensive methods that combine KTRC and power mode.
Riders can choose a sport, road, rain, or manual rider. Each system can be set freely in manual rider mode.
Electronic Cruise Control
It allows the rider to maintain the desired speed by pressing the button, eliminating the need to regulate the throttle constantly. When traveling long distances, it relieves tension on the right hand, which makes it easier to travel and enjoy a higher level of pleasure.
When encountering an ascending or descending gradient, the engine’s power is automatically regulated by electronic throttle valves to maintain proper speed. The “+” and “-” buttons can change the set speed.
Power Mode
Allows cyclists to customize power features according to their riding style and conditions. Riders can choose between full power and low power operation, approximately 70% full power with mild throttle response.
Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)(KP)
IMU measures inertia in five axes: latitude, longitude, and vertical velocity, as well as roll rate and pitch rate. ECU calculates the Yao rate with Kawasaki’s unique software to provide lean angle and acceleration/deletion force to the six-axis chassis for more accurate electronic riding aid management.
1043cc 4-Cylinder, DOHC Engine
Cylinder blocks release pressure in connecting tubes between cylinders, reducing pumping losses and improving high rpm efficiency. With a precise power kick of about 7,000 rpm, it is designed to deliver very low and medium-range torque.
The engine’s compact size is aided by its low crankshaft and tilt of the engine five degrees downwards. The balance of the secondary engine runs from the crankshaft and helps to reduce engine vibration.
Cool Air Intake System
For the enjoyment of music, secondary air passages and a resonant intake increase the noise. Ninja® ZX-10R has a comparable high-flow air cleaner element design.
Because the air on a motorcycle is high, the heat from the engine has a negligible effect on performance.
Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS)
With no contactless rapid shifter, the clutch is equipped with shift and down-shift possible, which can be smooth speed and quick and easy. When the shift lever is pressed during acceleration, the system sends a signal to the ECU to cut off the ignition, allowing the next gear clutch to be used or the throttle to be pulled back.
The KQS system automatically adjusts engine speed while slowing down, allowing downward shifts without using the clutch while the throttle is off. KQS will not work below 2,500 rpm.
Assist & Slipper Clutch (KP)
The clutch is pressed together during acceleration (Assist function) using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and pressure plate, allowing the use of low and light clutch springs for a soft feeling on the lever. The sleeper feature allows some clutches to slip in high backtrack conditions, such as when the gear is set too low during shifting down, helping to prevent engine lockup, stalling, and rear wheel hop.
41mm Inverted Cartridge Front Fork (KP)
For smooth fork movement, low-speed slits in the damper piston reduce the negative pressure during compression.
For best handling, fully adjustable and resists inverted fork flex. To improve handling, adjust the settings according to the frame’s rigidity.
