Compact 649cc Twin-Cylinder, DOHC Engine

They are designed primarily to deliver smooth, robust, and responsive contains that affect control and confidence in different riding conditions. For ultimate performance in common to mid-range, the camshaft has a slight operating angle and valve overlap. The new intake port design has been modified to enhance low and medium-range responsiveness and high performance.

The compact yet robust airbox supports the slimmer design of the bike and improves the sense of power over short and medium distances. A short header in the exhaust system raises the top and control, while an internal structure of the smooth muffler enhances power distribution from low to medium distance. The muffler is under the engine to help reduce the center of gravity and distribute the weight more evenly.

Digital Fuel Injection (KP)

Keyhan throttle bodies including dual throttle valves (KP), donate low solid to mid-range power for ideal performance and riding ability. The ECU controls the sub-throttle, located behind the main throttle valves, to improve that the throttle response in the DFI system is correct.

Exhaust distribution is meaningfully reduced thanks to the correct circulation of fuel with the help of the right atomizing injector and exhaust catalyzer. Starting and warm-up are simplified with an automatic rapid idle system.

Assist and Slipper Clutch

The clutch is pressed together during acceleration using the rotating forces of the clutch hub and the pressure plate, allowing low and light clutch springs for an easy feeling on the lever. The sleeper contains some clutches to slip in high backlight conditions, such as when the low gear is selected, to help decrease engine lockup and stalling, as well as rear-wheel hop.

Frame

High tensile steel trails are designed significantly to decrease the dimensions of the frame and the wall thickness to decrease the frame’s weight and contribute to tremendously light handling.

The components of the frame are arranged in a way that the lines of the frame are as straight as possible. On corners, the angles were kept as short as possible, thus resulting in a design that effectively distributed the load. To further reduce the weight, three-point, securely attached engines, and footpeg stages are used as pressure elements.

Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension

The connection is mounted on top of the swing arm to make way for the under-engine muffler, which helps to distribute the mass better. Since the previous shock is located farther away from the exhaust, it will not be affected by the heat generated by the exhaust. The Gull Wing Swing Arm helps in light, natural handling by clearing the muffler.

Wheels and Tires

The sporty five-spoke wheel design helps with the lightweight, agile aspect. The Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires help in light handling.

Streetfighter Cockpit

Sport riding capability is provided to some extent by the front handlebar position. The rider’s knees are kept open by the lower, forward footpeg positioning, which increases comfort and ease of operation.

The fuel tank is mounted on the bottom of the chassis, and its slim design helps to reach the ground and builds the confidence of the riders. For a more elegant look, the resin-designed fuel cap avoids the presence of mounting bolts. The front seat is thin so that it is easy for the rider to reach the ground.

Strong Sugomi Styling

The Z650 has a powerful Sugomi presence thanks to its sharp, compact cowl and muscular-looking radiator shrouds. Suomi is a Japanese term referring to the powerful glow or energy that emanates from a person or object of greatness and is perceived by the beholder. Suomi is a virtue that evokes fear, leaves a lasting impression, is intimidating in stature or skill, and commands respect for something or other.

A centrally positioned LED position lamp complements a smaller LED headlamp. The design of the headlights is highlighted with sharp edges. The colored parts are raised high to give a light look to this short, compact cowl, which features a two-piece design. A solid chin spoiler, meter cover, and cowl-forward bent lines enhance the Sonoma design.
