When it comes to KX motorcycles, victory runs the family. The brand new K2021 Kawasaki KX450 XC Dirt Motorcycle champion is powered by proven technology and is ready to face the most challenging terrain. Get off-road on a bike designed to keep you ahead of the pack.
Kawasaki motorcycles have expanded their off-road lineup with the new KX450XC. Kawasaki features a long history of off-road racing. The new cross-country KX450 motocross racer features championship-winning performance and factory-style equipment. Still, it includes XC-specific engine tuning and suspension settings, 21/18-inch wheels with enduro-type tires, and practical standard features such as One side stand and skid plate.
The engine produces a lot of power, and the torque curve is flat, making it easy to accelerate and find traction. The finger-follower valve train, which has reduced friction loss and the step-down draft intake tract, was designed by engineers who won the Kawasaki Multimet World Superbike Championship.
The Kawasaki KX race machine championship-proven technology is now specially adjusted for off-road competition. With brand new 2021 KX250XC and KX450XC models, Kawasaki is pleased to reveal the all-new race-ready off-road KX XC variant.
There is no denying that the new KX XC lineup is powered by technology that begins with the legacy of the Champions, as the brand has won over 25 titles at WORCS, National Hare & Hound, GNCC, and Endurocross in the last 20 years.
The KX250XC and KX450XC share many winning features with their Motocross counterparts, such as engine, frame, chassis, and styling. Still, they also have unique cross-country tuning and settings, such as suspension settings, gears, off-road A combination of 21 “/ 18” wheels, Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires, brake components, skid plate, and kickstand. The KX XC lineup’s mild suspension settings and low gearing ratio help provide the best handling off-road race package.

The brand new 2021 KX450XC is built as the flagship model of the KX XC lineup. Whether in the jungle, desert, or cross country, the KX450XC is a race-ready motorcycle out of the box, and it shares many of the winning features, such as its motocross counterpart, the KX450.
The 449cc Liquid Cold Four-Stroke Engine, Slack Aluminum Perimeter Frame, Shaw A-Cat Technology Suspension, Hydraulic Clutch, and Electric Start are ideal combinations for the more experienced riders of the championship-winning package.
Engine
The four-stroke, single-cylinder, DOHC, water-cooled 449cc lightweight engine package was developed with factory race team input and featured excellent engine mapping and settings for off-road racing. The powerful KX450XC engine has an electronic start system that is driven by a button and is run by a new small Li-ion battery.
Kawasaki Motorcycles used the concepts of Kawasaki World Superbike Engineers to bring top-level road racing technology to the KX450XC valve train. It employs finger-follower valve activation, resulting in larger diameter valves and more aggressive cam profiles. The new intake and exhaust valves are lightweight titanium, and the new Bridged Box Piston Monster Energy is based on the powerful Kawasaki Race Team’s factory motorcycles.
Chassis
An industry-leading compact aluminum perimeter frame provides perfect cornering and ultimate agility for high-speed riding thanks to the exceptional front-end sensation. All-new, incredibly lightweight frame is made up of forged, extruded, and cast sections; the engine acts as a pressure member that adds to the frame’s rigidity. The raw aesthetics of the frame are complemented by a lightweight swing arm made of a cast front section and twin tapered hydroformed spurs in a natural aluminum finish.
Brakes and suspensions
The KX450XC’s race-ready suspension front and rear spring rates and damping settings are designed for off-road and cross-country racing trains. On the front, high-performance Showa 49mm coil spring front forks with A-KIT technology are available, including large-diameter inner tubes used by Kawasaki’s factory racing squad. Large damping pistons can be used in divisions for smooth movement and firm damping.
Ergonomics and adjustable ERGO-FIT® components
With its ERGO-FIT® adjustable handlebar mounting system and footpegs to fit a variety of riders and riding styles, Kawasaki will continue its unparalleled commitment to delivering riders with class-leading comfort. The KX450XC comes standard factory design with a 1-1 / 8 “aluminum Renthal® Fatbar® handlebar. The handlebar mount can be adjusted in four ways. Multi-position handlebar with 35mm adjustable capacity Mounting holes are available, and 180-degree offset clamps provide four different settings to accommodate riders of various sizes.
Set and bodywork
In addition to the championship-proven technology, the 2021 KX450XC has aggressive styling and in-mold graphics on the radiator shroud, requiring a very smooth surface and factory racer to come first in its class. The slim bodywork was designed to complement V-mounted radiators and trim chassis. Each part of the bodywork was designed to help the rider move on long, smooth terrain.
4-stroke motor
Light pistons contribute to engine performance by reducing each other’s weight. The new piston skirt is coated with a dry film lubricant to decrease friction between the piston and the cylinder, resulting in a lighter, stronger piston. Simple bearings on the upper end of the connecting rod reduce mechanical damage and help increase strength.
The wedge-shaped crank web improves the setting moment, resulting in a balance factor of about 60%, like a factory bike. Low engine vibration, smooth power delivery, and improved performance are all advantages of the high balancing factor, especially at low rpm, where the response is quite fast.
For better performance and longevity, an aluminum cylinder with chrome composite plating (KP) facilitates faster heat transmission, better wear resistance, and better lubricating material retention.
Semi-dry sump lubrication system (KP) for fast engine response. To keep excess oil away from its crankshaft and to prevent damage to the power-stealing movement, most of the oil is kept in the transmission.
