The G.I. Enthusiast Collection is painted in a brand-new color produced just for this collection, Mineral Green Denim Deluxe, and adorned with service-inspired designs. The G.I. Enthusiast Collection is only available as factory-installed accessories for the Pan America 1250 Special and Tri Glide Ultra models and only in limited numbers for the U.S. market.
“The new Mineral Green Denim Deluxe paint is a tribute to the Olive Drab color used on Harley-Davidson WLA models,” said Brad Richards, vice president of design for Harley-Davidson. This hue has a metallic appearance that results in a slight gold accent, making the color journey more dramatic and highlighting the surface’s contour.
Richards says, “The tank image honors the distinctive white five-pointed star, which was employed during World War II on military vehicles.” “Inspired by the standard tags on government-issued military equipment, the tank image also contains a stenciled ‘H-D’ and the shortened location of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The stenciled method is often seen on military vehicles since lettering was usually executed on the field. Here, we identify the genesis of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the first WLA model.”
