2020 Triumph Bobber TFC Motorcycle – Features and Specs
More Power and greater Torque from a Significant Engine Upgrade.
The new Bobber TFC has a power boost of 10 PS (13 percent) over the conventional Bobber and Bobber Black. Significant engine improvements, such as a low inertia crankshaft, clutch, balancing shafts, rare-earth alternator, dead-shafts, magnesium cam cover, thin-walled engine covers, and all-new header pipes, are used to achieve this. The Bobber TFC, in addition to having more power, has more torque low down and throughout the rpm range, peaking at 110Nm, which is 4 Nm more than the standard Bobber and Bobber Black. The HT engine revs 500 rpm higher than before, with a rev restriction set at 7,500 rpm. With Arrow silencers and carbon-fiber end caps, the Bobber TFC has a premium, one-of-a-kind exhaust system that delivers an entirely distinctive rich and gritty British twin audio.
Lighter and Higher Specification
Engine component upgrades, carbon fiber bodywork, and the elimination of the tail light make the Bobber TFC about five kilos lighter than the Bobber Black for an even more dynamic ride. Following homologation in January 2020, the final weight, rake, trail, and seat height characteristics for the new Bobber TFC, as well as the differences between the standard Triumph Bobber and Bobber Black, will be disclosed. The Bobber TFC boasts a category-leading higher level of specification and equipment, including fully adjustable Ohlins upside-down front forks and an adjustable Ohlins rear suspension unit, in addition to the weight savings. Brembo 4-piston M50 radial monobloc calipers and dual floating Brembo front discs are also exclusive to the Bobber TFC, providing tremendous stopping power. A Brembo radial master cylinder and new MCS span and ratio adjustable brake lever, as well as a matching clutch lever, round out the luxury package.
Highest Ever Level of Capability
Including the Sport riding mode brings the total number of riding modes on the Bobber TFC to three (Rain, Road, and Sport), each of which adjusts the throttle map, ABS, and traction control settings to fit the riding circumstances or user desire better. It is made possible by the newest ride-by-wire technology, improving ride ability, safety, and control. The Bobber TFC has all-LED lighting, including an LED headlight with signature profile daytime running light (market-specific availability), multi-functional rear indicators (market-specific availability), compact front indicators, and a number plate light, for improved visibility, lower energy consumption, and more excellent durability.
A new elegant feature-packed instrument with a magnificent distinctive TFC-branded clock face and an instrument bezel sporting a new Triumph emblem is also included with the Bobber Triumph Factory Custom. A digital menu system is also included, which displays crucial information to the rider and can be accessed using the switch gear. For optimal safety and control, ABS and traction control are also included, executed with little visual effect – small, responsive, and inconspicuous. The torque-assist clutch has been optimized to decrease lever effort for the rider, making the bike even more comfortable on long trips and in stop-start riding. An engine immobilizer with a transponder embedded into the new high-value gold badged key is also standard.
Premium Custom Finish and Detailing
The new Bobber TFC raises the bar for beautiful bobber style with its distinctive clip-on handlebars and beautifully engineered lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, which includes gorgeous carbon fiber side panels with high-value electroformed badges with TFC branding and a minimalist front mudguard with carbon fiber mudguard supports. Knurled handlebar grips, which deliver a unique sporty and engaged riding position and ergonomics, state-of-the-art billet machined aluminum top and bottom yokes featuring TFC branding, premium accurate leather statement seat with the Bobber’s innovative adjustable seat position, new minimal bobber rear-end, and billet machined aluminum oil filler cap are among the additional exquisite details. It is topped off with quality black anodized multi-spoked wheels, black Ohlins RSU springs and forks, black engine covers, and the new black frame and swingarm.
The Triumph Bobber TFC is available in one signature premium twin paint scheme – a distinctive Carbon Black and Matt Carbon Black, including silver foil union jack flag on the knee pads, brushed foil bobber decals, and a Triumph triangle logo decal on the tank – to perfectly complement the black theme and natural carbon fiber. A gold pin stripe can also be seen on the fuel tank. Quality gold decoration can be found throughout the motorbike, from the badging and instrument panels to the unique key with gold detailing and a stunning bespoke gold chain. The Bobber TFC has a heritage-inspired battery cover with stainless steel strap, a traditional rear ‘drum brake’ styled hub, a rear mudguard loop, and an ignition barrel in front of the right-side panel bar-end mirrors, and a branded locking fuel cap.
