The new Street Triple RS 2020 Triumph Roadster is the lightest bike in its class, with an exceptional power-to-weight ratio critical to its recent category-leading performance, making it an incredibly nimble, thrilling, and accessible bike for all riders. The Street Triple also boasts the lightest wheels in the class, which contributes to its agility and precise, engaging handling. The characteristic gullwing swing arm offers torsional rigidity and lateral flexibility, allowing for better stability at higher speeds. At the same time, its optimized pivot location prevents the RSU from compressing during severe acceleration. They allow the Street Triple’s precise chassis behavior and tight corner exits.

The new Street Triple RS 2020 Triumph Roadster comes equipped with fully adjustable 41mm Showa big piston front forks with 115mm of travel and a fully adjustable Ohlins STX40 piggyback reservoir mono-shock rear suspension unit with 131mm of rear-wheel travel. The Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc front calipers and a Brembo ratio and span adjustable brake lever, as well as a Brembo sliding rear caliper, provide tremendous stopping power on the Street Triple RS. It allows for smooth, easy gear changes while keeping the accelerator in the same place, reducing rider fatigue. The five upgraded riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Track, and Rider customizable) have now been optimized to meet the bike’s more significant level of performance, giving the rider the most control. These modes let you change the throttle response, ABS, and traction control settings while riding. For added safety and control, the Rain mode limits power to 100PS. The Street Triple RS retains its high standard specification, including ride-by-wire, adjustable ABS, and switchable traction control, which complements the new technology.

A Major Step Up in Performance – More Power, More Torque

The new Street Triple RS gets a significant Euro 5 update to its characterful 765cc triple engine, developed by Triumph’s expert Moto2TM engine team, for a substantial performance boost. As a result, torque has increased by 9% in the mid-range, peaking at an even higher 79Nm at 9,350rpm.

The new exhaust balance pipe smooth’s the torque curve, resulting in exciting, usable torque from low to high revs. The mid-range power has been increased by 9%, peaking at 123PS at 11,750rpm, giving the new Street Triple RS a completely irresistible ride. A new exhaust cam optimized for improved mid-range performance, as well as new higher precision machining on the crank shaft, clutch, and balancer, decrease inertia and reduce engine mass, are among the engine upgrades. The throttle is now significantly more sensitive, thanks to a 7% decrease in rotational inertia. When paired with increased torque throughout the rpm range, it gains a noticeable boost in immediacy.

The Street Triple RS also gets a redesigned silencer, which is now freer flowing thanks to the dual catalyst system, decreasing restriction and emissions. A premium sporty carbon fiber end cap completes the look, providing a substantially better and more distinct triple sound. The new Street Triple RS has a significantly more aggressive unique appearance thanks to a considerable upgrade to its classic style. The LED headlights are entirely redesigned, with a bold new form and a sharper, more purposeful look. They’re also whiter and brighter now, making them stand out even more. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs – market relevant) feature a new, more distinctive appearance that improves visibility. The new Street Triple RS has all-new bodywork that is more angular, sportier and has cleaner lines.

The side panels, rear unit, seat cowl, and belly pan are all new and distinctive, matching the contour of the new DRL. For the 2020 model, the silencer has been restyled to be more sporty and compact, with a gorgeous carbon fiber finisher with Triumph emblem branding. New modern mirrors, a new branded handlebar clamp, and a more harmonized component finish, including blacked-out control plates and rear footrest hangers, as well as satin metal heel guards and silencer finish, are all included. The Street Triple RS, at the top of the line, has the highest quality finish of all the Street Triples. The mainframe is now Titanium Silver, matching the finish of the Speed Triple versions.
