The brand new 2020 Kawasaki KLX230 ABS Dual Purpose Bike is a lightweight dual sport bike designed for on and off-road use. With a turkey engine, active chassis, and long-travel suspension, the KLX230 is designed for trail riding, allowing riders to get out of the city and enjoy the trails with confidence and ease. In the case of the Kawasaki KLX230 ABS, Kawasaki’s first dual-purpose anti-lock braking system has also been introduced to help riders feel more confident.
Kawasaki’s new KLX230 was designed to enjoy real dirt from the ground up, with the engine and the frame in mind. It’s 233cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single engine produces many performances from low to medium, and its basic design and light handling frame make it perfect for trail runs.
2020 Kawasaki KLX230 ABS Dual Purpose Bike – Features and Price
Engine
Four-stroke fuel-injected, air-cooled engine. Perimeter frame in steel. Suspension for long journeys. Wheel size: Complete. Turn on the power. Ergonomics inspired by KXTM. Available in ABS model.
Long-stroke engines have enough torque for a powerful pull on low to medium range with simple low-speed management and small throttle openings.
Air Cooled Only SOHC Architecture Simplifies Maintenance
DFI (KP) (Digital Fuel Injection) helps provide smooth, accurate throttle response for better tail engine control. Fuel injection ensures a constant supply of fuel by automatically adjusting for changes in air temperature and altitude, resulting in lower emissions. DFI provides a steady start whether the engine is hot or cold, and the engine is easy to start when paired with an electric starter button.
The engine’s tuned exhaust aids the engine’s easy-to-use performance, and the tapered muffler with the oval cross-section helps to give a powerful off-road image.
Chassis
The brand new high tensile steel frame was designed with trail performance and rider confidence. The frame and engine were built together. Engine height was reduced to help create a suitable frame line for maximum hardness balance and center of gravity.
The frame was also designed so that riders could easily hold it with their legs for better control and input. The somewhat flat seat design, paired with a flush seam between the shroud, seat, and side cover, enhances ride control and provides flexibility in movement. The short wheelbase helps move the trail.
Available Dual Purpose ABS
Kawasaki’s new Dual Purpose ABS, developed in collaboration with Bush, is precisely adjusted to allow riders to effectively stop at short distances, whether on the road or in the mud.
Due to the low traction on dirt, ABS intervention is delayed compared to regular on-road ABS. Because the tires can move a bit before the ABS starts, this helps to create a more realistic sense of braking in the mud. On the road, it feels like a standard ABS with a low-sensitivity setting.
