Inspired by cutting-edge aeronautical design, the aesthetic of the SR/S is anchored in its aerodynamic fairing. When it comes to Zero Motorcycles, design and functionality go hand in hand. SR/highway S’s economy and range are up 13% compared to the SR/ F’s, so getting behind the fairing and into the cockpit is well worth it. Relaxed, upright riding positions are just as excellent for you as for the road. A class-leading operating system called Cypher III+ is installed in all three SR/S models, including the SR/F and SR, to provide a smooth riding experience and to give owners access to the Cypher Store, where they can order upgrades for their motorcycles on-demand.
Due to Zero’s new ZF75-10 motor and Zero’s new ZF14.4+ and 15.6+ kWh lithium-ion batteries, the SR/S generates 140 ft-lbs of torque and 110 horsepower just by turning the throttle. A Cypher Store update unlocks 17.3 kWh of more range and battery capacity.
In addition to Zero’s newest Cypher III+ operating system, the SR/S comes preloaded with various performance enhancements that may be downloaded for free. Musicians and brains go into Bosch’s MSC (Motorcycle Stability Control). Effortless power is linked with intuitive control, producing the new standard for premium performance—an flexible motorcycle and engine combination that navigates different road topography and circumstances efficiently.
2022 SR/S Zero Electric Motorcycle – Features and Price
Elevated Design
With its full-fairing design, the SR/S is instantly recognizable as a luxury motorcycle. Aerodynamic efficiency is maximized as it wraps a forward-leaning rider in its cockpit, increasing range by 13 percent over the naked SR/F model.
Premium Comfort
It’s easier to maintain an upright and calm riding posture on the SR/S because of the lower foot position and the higher handlebar height. With lower pegs and more expansive sitting space for passengers, it provides a lifetime journey for two people. Fine-tuned suspension brings a new degree of luxury to the driving experience.
ZF15.6+ Battery Pack
All-new lithium-ion batteries, the ZFORCE 15.6+ (Premium) and ZFORCE 14.4+ (Standard) provide the SR/F a maximum range of 227 miles. Aluminum heat sink housing and thermal transfer interface provide constant cell cooling and optimal long-term powertrain performance thanks to the battery, which has the industry’s maximum capacity and density. The additional battery capacity of 17.3 kWh may be unlocked via Cypher Store software updates, and the 3.6 kWh Power Tank* increases the overall battery capacity to approximately 21 kWh. Please note that Zero’s power tank will be released in 2022.
ZF75-10 Motor
The ZF75-10 motor provides 140 ft-lb of torque and 110 horsepower, allowing the SR/S to reach a peak speed of 124 mph. Class-leading performance and efficiency are achieved by combining Zero’s acclaimed internal permanent magnet brushless architecture with a passively cooled compact design.
An unprecedented combination of industry-leading power, control, and connection has never been seen in the industry.
Fast-Charging System
Our Rapid Charging System is scalable, allowing the bike to be charged at various levels. The model Year 2022 base SR/S 3kw and premium 6kW may be upgraded to 7 kW via the Cypher Store. In addition, you may buy a 6kw charging module (dealer installation needed) that can bring your total charging capacity to 13 kW. The Cypher shop offers additional 17 percent charge speed enhancements in addition to these significant advancements.
The SR/S must be charged with the included EVSE wire using a regular 110 V wall outlet.
To maintain consistent drive-belt tension and transmit maximum torque to the back wheel, a novel coaxial power pivot design is used. With a specifically engineered large-bearing swingarm pivot, a high-performance motor may be accommodated while maintaining a compact chassis waist for improved rider ergonomics and bike handling.
Cypher III+
To enable riders to personalize their riding experience further, Cypher III+ includes a brand-new Cypher Store as part of the Cypher operating system’s Cypher III+ release. Charge faster, receive turn-by-turn directions on your dash, or use Parking Mode to carefully back into the right place. These features are available in the Tesla Model S. On-demand performance improvements are only possible with Zero Motorcycles’ Cypher III+ technology.
Arsenal of Ride Modes
The next-Generation app and dash interface allow riders to fine-tune the bike’s performance via an arsenal of ride modes. There are pre-loaded Rain, Eco, Standard, Sport, and Canyon modes, as well as an almost infinite number of custom ride mode adjustments, so the SR/F can navigate the road no matter what the conditions are.
Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control
The SR/S is the first electric motorbike to include Bosch’s MSC System, known for its dynamic acceleration and better stability no matter what the road surface or circumstances are like. For best-in-class straight-line ABS and cornering brake control, traction control (including drag torque), and drag torque control, the MSC is paired with Cypher III+.
Chassis
Light as a feather. Amazingly powerful. Steel-trellis frame, unique swingarm and Showa suspension make for an agile and intuitive ride. To keep the weight down and the bulk in the vehicle’s center, the powerplant is distributed correctly, and the front brakes have a dual-radial design.
The Connected Bike
Because it is always linked to cellular networks, the SR/S constantly transfers data to the app. You can always get up-to-date information on your ride, including the current state of your bike and its current location. Bike Status & Alerts, Charging, Ride Data Sharing, System Upgrades & Updates are all areas where the user may keep an eye on the bike thanks to this connection. For the first two years after the date of purchase, cellular service is included at no charge.
SR/S Dash
Personalize your instrument panel with stickers and other decals. Full-color 5″ TFT display lets you choose the information you want to view clearly. On-the-fly mode switching, cruise control, heated grip* control, and more are all possible thanks to multi-mode navigation. A Cypher Store update is available for the Standard model to incorporate heated handgrips.
The Connected Bike
The SR/F is constantly communicating with the app through cellular networks. There are several built-in features, such as ride history, bike status, and location, that can be accessed through the cypher store’s on-demand choices. Riders may keep tabs on their bike’s status and status alerts, charging, riding statistics, and system upgrades and updates thanks to this connection. When you buy a phone, you get two years of free cellular service.
Advanced App
The dash and Cypher III+, along with Zero’s next-generation software, provide a robust ecosystem: An easy-to-use Cypher Store where additional features and improvements may be purchased. Just a few of the new features are On-Dash Navigation and Parking Mode. Ride mode selection and creation of customized dash, scheduled and target-based charging, charge-station locating help, and so much more are all included as standard free features in the app.
A wide range of information is available for review and sharing, including location, speed, lean angle, power, torque, Soc, and information about the last ride. Remote queries and notifications are also available. All Cypher III+ updates, including on-demand features and performance upgrades available in the Cypher Store, can be purchased.
