The new 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S Naked Motorcycle features clean surfaces, taut lines, and contrasting rear and front volumes that remain the center of attention. The motorcycle features the new side wings, which are inspired by Multistrada 1260, which makes the front end even cleaner and highly streamlined.
The motorcycle is the best combination of Multistrada 1260 and Multistrada 1260 Enduro offering the perfect riding pleasure and eye-catching view. The front end comes with a distinctive horizontally extended headlight, the beak and fully adjustable screen, side wings, and a tank that takes its cue from the Multistrada 1260. The motorcycle gulps in the fuel mixture through 53mm cylindrical-section throttle bodies controlled by an advanced Ride-by-Wire system. An all-new exhaust system is of the 2-1-2 type with a lateral silencer. In addition, the self-serve wet slipper clutch can now be operated with less on-lever effort thanks to the new hydraulic control system. The engine has maintenance intervals of 15,000 km or every 12 months, with valve clearance inspection every 30,000 km.
Frame
The new 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S Naked Bike’s frame comes with a solid Trellis section having a large diameter, low-thickness tubing, and two lateral sub-frames, closed off by the rear load-bearing techno-polymer fiberglass element to improve torsional rigidity. The motorcycle comes with a minimum ground clearance of 183.5mm with a wheelbase of 1,594mm distribution rider and luggage weight perfectly enhancing the vehicle’s dynamic performance. The new lighter shell-cast aluminum twin-sided swingarm is painted in black.
Suspension
The new 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S Naked Bike features the front upside down 48mm of the fork with 170mm of travel with a dedicated cast fork leg including fully adjustable spring pre-load and hydraulic compression and rebound damping.
At the rear, the shock connects the swingarm to the left cast sub-frame; again, spring pre-load is adjustable, as is hydraulic rebound and compression damping. The new spring is progressive, resulting in greater rider comfort even with a fully-loaded motorcycle. The rear-wheel travel comes standard of 170mm.
