MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike – Features and Price
Engine
An all-new MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike has a powerful 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that uses Yamaha’s famed Crossplane Crankshaft technology developed for the YZF-R1 superbike. The crossplane design virtually eliminates inertial engine torque that allows for a direct link between the throttle and the back tire resulting in maximum traction and linear torque feel. The MT-10 engine is tuned expressly for the needs of the high-performance street rider producing incredible low- and mid-rpm torque and arm-stretching top-end power. The engine architecture of the MT-10 delivers the ultimate high-performance street sportbike.
The new MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike has strong, lightweight forged pistons and carburized fracture-split connecting rods run through a highly robust closed-deck cylinder block, ensuring engine reliability. The engine’s cylinders have plated bores for superior heat dissipation and cylinder sealing and are slightly offset to minimize friction losses. The rocker-arm valve actuation system takes advantage of each rocker arm’s lever ratio to allow for higher valve lifts while requiring fewer camshaft lobes and less spring pressure resulting in increased power and economy. To center mass and make the engine shorter front-to-back, the six-speed transmission “stacks” the crankshaft, input and output shafts in a triangle structure, with optimal engine placement in the frame for superb handling.
A revised air box with three different-length intake ducts is engineered to resonate harmoniously at changing engine speeds to generate a unique intake scream that increases the overall riding experience, both in terms of sound and efficiency. Larger intake ducts on either side of the fuel tank improve efficiency while adding to the car’s purposeful, aggressive appearance. A substantially curved radiator keeps the engine cool while a compact air-cooled oil cooler maintains oil temps steady in any weather. The need for additional parts is reduced and weight is saved, thanks to a simplified pipe and hose routing. When entering corners aggressively. Yamaha’s assist and slipper clutch give the rider a smoother, more confident downshift as well as a nimbler pull effort at the lever, all while effortlessly handling the torque of the MT-10’s high-output, inline-four powertrain.
Chassis/Suspension
The new MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike provided its ultra-compact 55.3-inch wheelbase. The MT-10 uses an aluminum Deltabox frame adapted from the YZF-R1 superbike to provide a lightweight and responsive chassis built for agility. The motorcycle is best for cornering performance. The frame features a strength-rigidity balance created exclusively for the MT-10 and utilizes the engine as a stressed frame member. The MT-10 is equipped with an inverted 43mm KYB® front fork with complete adjustability and 4.7 inches of travel for great front-end feel and road holding and an adjustment range suitable for a wide range of streets and track conditions. The KYB® piggyback-style shock has a rear bottom link pivot location that is deliberately located for optimal handling and engine torque transmission to the tarmac.
The MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike’s rear suspension like the front fork, has a wide range of adjustments and a smooth, controlled 4.7 inches of wheel travel. Yamaha’s sophisticated Brake Control (BC) System which was developed on racetracks all over the world that works in tandem with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to reduce brake slip while braking aggressively or on less-than-ideal terrain. Radial-mount four-piston front calipers provide superior braking force and control, sintered brake pads, massive 320mm front discs, and 220mm rear discs mated to high-specification braking components. The motorcycle is suitable for agile steering and suspension feel. The MT-10 rides on lightweight five-spoke aluminum wheels. Bridgestone BattlaxHypersport S22 tires with a front size of 120/70ZR17 and a rear size of 190/55ZR17 designed exclusively for the MT-10 and provide chassis-matched handling and grip.
Additional Features
The new MT-10 2022 Yamaha Sports Bike has improved comfort and control. When the rider grabs the fuel tank with their knees under heavy braking or cornering, protruding regions surrounding the tank are reduced, allowing for more flexibility of movement and a better feel. The motorcycle is good with the hip position lowered. The ‘rider triangle’—the interaction between the bar, footrest and seat is improved by giving the impression of sitting more within the bike. In addition, the seat stiffness is adjusted to improve comfort. To minimize overhang and offer a streamlined commanding appearance, new twin-eye mono-focus LED headlights. The LED position lights above the headlights combine with a more compact nose assembly. An even bright beam with softer light at the margins is projected by separate high and low beam components which give outstanding illumination.
A new LED taillight and LED turn signals are also included. The new MT-10, the undeniable monarch of the MT series, exudes raw ferocity from every angle thanks to a stripped-down new design achieved by deleting extraneous bodywork pieces, sharpening the nose assembly and focussing attention on the solid engine and compact frame’s pure mechanical beauty. The MT-10 is pre-programmed and ready to use. It’s excellent for installing various Genuine Yamaha accessories that include windscreens, chassis protection and other items, thanks to the exposed hardware. A standard 12V DC power outlet can charge your mobile devices or other electronic gadgets.
