The new MT-07 2022 Yamaha Powerful Naked Bike powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder DOHC engine with fuel injection that has been updated. This bike has a linear throttle response and strong high-rpm pulling power. The engine’s unique power character provides outstanding low- to mid-range torque. Due to its brand new intake air duct design, exhaust system specs – an all-new integrated 2-into-1 exhaust pipes and new muffler – and updated ECU specs. Due to its new intake air duct design exhaust system specs – it now incorporated 2-into-1 exhaust pipes and muffler and improved ECU specs. The engine maintains the same level of reaction in the real world maximizing riding excitement while the throttle is marginally open at low rpm.

Yamaha’s Crossplane Crankshaft Concept 270-degree crank allows linear torque development in response to the rider’s throttle input on the two-cylinder engine. The CP2 engine is light, small, and compact with great rider-machine interface. The input/output shafts are stacked in a triangle configuration in the six-speed transmission. The high-strength steel frame has an optimum rigidity balance for nimble, agile handling. The engine allows for a lighter, compact main frame design as a stressed part of the chassis contributing to a low wet weight of only 406 lb. This bike has excellent handling and suspension performance; lightweight 10-spoke cast-aluminum wheels reduce unsprung weight. The bike has 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear widths. The Michelin Road 5 tires provide exceptional grip and agility.

The MT-07 has enlarged 298mm front brake discs with four-piston calipers for more stopping power, control, and feel during braking. A 245mm disc provides rear braking while ABS is standard to increase rider confidence and minimize wheel lock-ups in low-traction situations. The front suspension of the MT-07 is made up of a 41mm KYB® fork with 5.1 inches of travel. The suspension offers a refined feel and operates responsively throughout many riding styles thanks to carefully selected spring rates and damping settings.

The MT-07 comes with a KYB® link-type rear shock adjusted for rebound dampening and spring preload. The shock is located below the seat with an almost horizontal alignment to help make the chassis even more compact with 5.1 inches of rear travel. The wheelbase, fuel tank width, seat height, rake and other parameters together with the characteristics of the tiny twin-cylinder engine, resulting in a dynamic, light and neutral handling character.
