Tiger 900 GT Low 2020 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle – Features and Specs

Engine Features

The new 900cc Euro 5 compatible triple engine has a more robust and responsive layout. In addition to a revised 1, 3, 2 firing sequence, the new 900cc engine is now wholly Euro 5 compatible and has more capacity and performance. Consequently, the engine’s sound, tractability, and throttle feel increase, allowing it to pull harder and farther down the road with less effort. Therefore, the throttle response, sound, and feel are more closely associated with a twin-engine down low, but the torque, feel, and delivery of a triple engine are preserved in the mid-and high range.

Ten percent higher peak torque is delivered by the new Tiger 800’s engine, with 87Nm available at 7,250rpm and enhanced torque low down and throughout the rev range. At 8,750 rpm, the engine produces 95 PS and has a maximum power output of 95 pound-feet of torque.

0-60 mph, 0-110 mph, and 6th gear roll-on times significantly outperform the previous generation model and the closest competitors when combining this new technology. This new Tiger 900 has a more aggressive, raspy and exciting triple soundtrack.

With a lower coolant capacity, an all-new dual radiator setup is mass optimized. It improves cooling and reduces the rider’s sense of heat. The revised radiator design emphasizes the more striking posture and elegance of the latest versions of adventure bikes. Its form and placement allow for a forward engine position, resulting in an improved center of gravity (40mm forward and 20mm lower). For better handling and low-speed balance, this increases weight distribution, while additional changes to the sump and cooling system ensure that it does not influence ground clearance

An all-new airbox with an easily accessible new air filter and a slip and assist clutch for increased rider comfort are also included in the new model.

Significantly lighter Chassis

The new version 900 is 5kg lighter than the previous models, resulting in the most controlling and nimble Tiger ride ever. Steel Trellis frame is more lightweight and modular, including bolt-on aluminum rear subframe and bolt-on pillion hangers, offering the most adventure-centric set-up yet for off-road oriented riding.

Premium Marzocchi or Showa suspension components are used on the new 900-series models, ensuring that the new middleweight adventure motorcycles establish new standards for performance and capabilities.

A dedicated menu in the TFT instruments allows the rider to fine-tune the rear preload and damping settings for the ultimate in rider convenience and comfort on the GT Pro variant. A total of nine damping control settings and four preload set-ups are available to riders, ranging from Comfort (the softest) to Sport (the firmest).

Brembo Stylema® brakes are now standard on all new Tiger 900 models, providing the best stopping power in the industry. Reducing the volume surrounding pistons and pads minimizes the amount of space occupied by the brake fluid inside these calipers and provides an even quicker reaction to the pedal. By increasing airflow, you may speed up brake pad cooling and brake caliper cooling.

Its combination of a new lightweight modular chassis, a new more miniature weight engine, high-spec suspension, and quality Brembo brakes ensures remarkable agility and capability in all riding conditions.

For long-distance commuting, Triumph Tiger 900 models now include giant 20-liter fuel tanks and an adjustable windscreen that can be easily be adjusted with one hand.

The new models’ ergonomics have also been upgraded, making them more comfortable for riders on all types of rides, from road trips to off-road adventures. The handlebars are 10mm closer and the seat is 10mm narrower, resulting in a more upright riding posture and improved rider control both at rest and when moving. There is a specialized and distinct footrest position for each model, as well as a built-in two-position seat height mechanism that is readily adjusted. The user may now change the seat height by 20 millimeters to their ideal level.

The Tiger’s Aggressive Appearance

The Tiger 900’s new aggressive style, redesigned smaller-scale bodywork, improved finishes, and smoother lines give it a more unique and dominating adventure attitude. It is reinforced by the short standover width, the lightweight front end, and the large fuel tank design and capacity.

Fuel tank, tank end panel, high mudguard, seat panel, radiator cowl and radiator duct exit are all part of the all-new bodywork, which has a more concentrated and aggressive adventure flair. The Triumph Tiger 900 sets a new standard for excellence with its impeccable finish and attention to every little detail.

Accessible and Adaptable

The dealer-fit A2 license compliance package, which includes a specific APS twist grip and engine tuning, makes the new Tiger 900 more accessible to riders of all skill levels. Once the rider has got their full license, the dealer may quickly restore their full power.

If someone wants a lower ride height than the standard GT, the 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 GT is also available in a Low Ride Height version that lowers the seat height by 50 millimeters. Additionally, a 20mm seat height adjustment is included in this model, allowing for a range of 760 – 780mm for the seat height.
