This elegant, light, and extreme terrain master proudly displays the TPI (transfer port injection). No need to mix gasoline or re-jetting this simple to ride thoroughbred makes it even easier to ride and work on while providing excellent fuel efficiency with pollution-free exhaust. Lightweight and flexible, the 2021 150 XC-W TPI KTM Dirt Bike’s frame allows both rider and machine to achieve new heights of performance.
What does “XC” stand for? The letter “W” stands for a wide-ratio transmission, while “KTM” stands for success. “TPI” has been added to the name of this lightweight, elegant, and harsh terrain master for 2020. In this way, this race-ready motorbike will be even simpler to ride and maintain. The KTM 150 XC-W TPI has a redesigned frame with more excellent flex characteristics that match the updated bodywork and suspension. They provide a level of performance for riders and machines that were previously inconceivable.
2021 150 XC-W TPI KTM Dirt Bike – Features and Specs
Exhaust
Improved power and performance are directly related to the revised exhaust, which is more potent than anything else on the market. The pipe’s perfect shape is the result of 3-D stamping technology. The redesigned design of the silencer includes an inner tube with holes and lighter wool, and an all-new exhaust technology on the TPI engine delivers superior bottom-end power than the carbureted predecessor. Finally, the muffler’s plastic connection mechanism is replaced with two welded aluminum brackets, resulting in a weight reduction of 60 grams.
Engine
Due to the latest in engineering, pioneering 2-stroke design, and unique TPI fuel injection technology, this 150-cc 2-stroke engine produces class-leading power over the entire rpm range. This 2-stroke is an excellent alternative for those who wish to take on more intense sports due to its minimal weight and effectual power output.
Airbox
KTM 150 XC-W TPI’s airbox has been altered to fit the new throttle body of the TPI system. In combination with newly designed intake snorkels, this allows for improved flow dynamics and optimal power and throttle response. For more than just a boost in performance, a new design has also been implemented that offers a better air filter. The cage’s sturdy design makes it easy to install the massive twin-air filter properly. As a standard feature of KTM, filter maintenance is straightforward and does not need tools.
Frame
All XC-W models have steel frames with unique high-tech, lightweight Chromoly technology. Hydro-formed components created using the latest robot welding technology are among them. Stiffness was enhanced where it matters most to riders, allowing for more rider input, a more playful feel, and better stability while maintaining the same geometry. Engineers use aluminum to minimize vibration and enhance cornering accuracy by using the laterally placed engine head stays (the connection between the cylinder head, the frame, and the engine). Muffler protection on the right side is provided by newly developed, structured-surface lateral frame protectors. Lighter aluminum profiles have been used to build the new subframe, which measures 40 millimeters longer than the previous model and weighs only 900 kilos.
Seat
An ergonomically revised seat surface is combined with high-density foam padding to create one of the most comfortable chair models available today. The seat is mounted to the bike by a long, lateral screw, making it safe and easy to use.
Handlebar
All KTM XC-W models come equipped with NEKEN high-strength aluminum tapered handlebars. There are four possible methods to set up the handlebars. The bike’s handlebars come equipped with ODI vulcanized grips on the right side and a comfortable ODI.
