Engine

The all-new 900cc engine, with its increased capacity and improved performance, is now Euro 5 compatible and has a new, unique firing sequence of 1, 3, 2. Intake noise under load has been enhanced, the rider has received more significant input from the engine, and the engine’s characteristic sound has been amplified. Because of this, the throttle response, sound, and feel are considerably closer to those of a twin at the low end, but the midrange and high end retain all the torque, feel, and delivery of a triple.

Peak Power

87Nm at 7,250 rpm, or a whopping 10% greater peak torque than the previous Tiger 800 models, is now available from the new engine, along with enhanced performance across the rev range. In the mid-range, 9 percent more power is available, with 95PS peak output at 8,750rpm.

Speed

As a result of this, the 0-60mph acceleration, 0-110mph, and 6th gear roll-on speed all significantly outperform those of the previous generation vehicle and the nearest competitor. In addition, it provides the new Tiger 900 with a triple soundtrack that is considerably more aggressive, raspy, and engaging.

Cooling System

A smaller amount of coolant is used to mass-optimize a brand-new dual radiator setup. It enhances cooling and minimizes the rider’s sense of heat. Improved aerodynamics are a result of the revised radiator design. Shape and location allow the engine to be moved forward farther, which results in a lower center of gravity (40mm forward and 20mm lower). For improved handling and low-speed balance, this improves weight distribution, while additional changes to the sump and cooling system guarantee that it does not influence ground clearance.”

Gear Box

An all-new airbox with a more accessible new air filter and a slip and assist clutch for increased rider comfort are also included in the new design.

Significantly Lighter Chassis

The new version 900 is 5 kg lighter than the previous model, resulting in the most controlling and nimble Tiger ride ever. Steel Trellis frame is not only more lightweight, but it is modular, with bolt-on aluminum rear subframe and bolt-on pillion hangers, providing the most adventure-centric set-up yet for offroad-oriented riding.

Suspension System

The new 900 line has a premium Marzocchi, or Showa suspension system tuned to give the most significant capabilities for the benchmark-setting new middleweight adventure bike.

The electronically adjustable rear suspension is included on the GT Pro variant, enabling riders to fine-tune the rear preload and damping settings through a menu on the TFT displays. Comfort (softest) to Sport (firmest) are only two of nine degrees of damping adjustment available to riders.

Braking System

The enhanced stopping power of Brembo Stylema® brakes is now standard equipment on all new Tiger 900 models. Compact, lightweight, and high-performance calipers with decreased volume surrounding the pistons and brake pads, minimizing internal space occupied by brake fluid, resulting in an even more quick reaction to the brakes. Another benefit of increased airflow is that it speeds the cooling of brake pads and calipers by making them more accessible.

Frame

As a result of this combination of a revolutionary lightweight modular frame, a less-weight engine, high specification suspension, and quality Brembo brakes, the bike is agile and capable in all riding situations.

2020 Tiger 900 Triumph Adventure Bike

For long-distance commuting, Tiger 900 models now include giant 20-liter fuel tanks and an adjustable windscreen easily adjusted with one hand.

Ergonomics

Additionally, the new models’ ergonomics have been enhanced for maximum rider comfort on any terrain, whether on or off the road. To provide a more upright riding posture, the seat width has been reduced and the handlebars have been moved 10mm closer to the rider’s body. There is a built-in two-position seat height adjustment mechanism on each model, as well as specific and distinct footrest positions to match the intended riding style. It’s possible to raise or lower the seat by 20 millimeters, depending on the user’s preference.

Styling

The new Tiger 900 has a more unique and commanding adventurous posture thanks to all-new aggressive styling, redesigned smaller-scale bodywork, improved finishes, and cleaner lines. In addition to the short standover width, the lightweight front end, and the dominating fuel tank design and size, this is further supported.

Bodywork changes include a redesigned fuel tank, end panel, high mudguard, seat panel, radiator cover, and radiator duct exit with an aggressive adventure style. The Tiger 900 sets a new standard for excellence with its impeccable finish and attention to every little detail.

Accessible and adaptable

A dealer fit A2 license compliance package is available for the mid and top spec Tiger 900 vehicles, including a specific APS twist grip and engine tuning. Once the rider has obtained their full license, the dealer may quickly restore their full power. If you want a lower ride height than the standard GT, the Tiger 900 GT is also available in a Low Ride Height (LHR) version that lowers the seat height by 50 millimeters. Additionally, this model has a built-in 20mm seat height adjustment, making it possible to modify the seat height from 760 to 780 millimeters.
