Chassis Features
The new Honda CBR600RR 2020 Powerful Sports Bike features a 41mm Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) with a large damper piston. The piston can quickly generate damping force at external, internal pressure thus allowing for smooth and responsive fork action. It is fully adjustable for spring preload including compression and rebound damping. Furthermore, the rear suspension features a unit pro-link to ensure a smooth ride.
The Honda engineers used their knowledge gained from the Honda RC212V MotoGP race program, the aerodynamic design allowing minimal drag. The development and testing used with the CBR600RR bodywork, in turn, led to aerodynamic advancements that were previously used in RC213V.
